8. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Mr. Shao Fangdong Arrested

1. [Beijing] Ms. Kou Rumin Faces Trial

Ms. Kou Rumin from Jinzhan Township was scheduled to be tried in the Chaoyang District Court on the morning of January 12, 2024.

2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Hongzhi Arrested

Ms. Zhao Hongzhi, 84, from the Heping District, was arrested by officers from the Nanhu Police Station on January 6, 2024 for distributing information about Falun Gong.

3. [Chongqing] Ms. Chen Ping Arrested and Detained

Ms. Chen Ping was arrested and taken to the Zouma Women’s Prison on December 18, 2023. Her family has not been allowed to visit her.

4. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Yue Arrested

Ms. Sun Yu from Changyang Township was arrested by officers from the Chaoyang Township Police Station and the Dehui City Police Department on the afternoon of January 9, 2024.

5. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Zhengmei’s Home Ransacked

Ms. Li Zhengmei’s home in Banan District was ransacked recently. 

6. [Chongqing] Ms. Kuang Xinrong Released 

Ms. Kuang Xinrong from the Jiangjin District was released from the Jiulongpo District Detention Center on January 4, 2024. She was detained for eight months.

7. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Wenchen Harassed

Two officers from the Mutoudeng Town Police Station in Qinglong County went to the home of Mr. Wang Wenchen’s oldest son at 7 p.m. on December 11, 2023. They ransacked the place but didn’t find anything. Then they went to Mr. Wang Wenchen’s home and confiscated two copies of Minghui Weekly.

8. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Mr. Shao Fangdong Arrested

Mr. Shao Fangdong was arrested at home by officers from the Jianshe Street Police Station on January 8, 2024.
