(Minghui.org) The Social Security Bureau suspended my farmers pension payments in August 2020. The excuse was that I practiced Falun Dafa.
I am old and can no longer work, thus I didn’t have any other source of income. I have gone to the Social Security Bureau to ask for my benefits many times, but each time they had excuses. Either there was no one to help me, I was directed to other departments, or I was asked to wait outside for an hour or two, but there was still no one to help me.
A staff member once called me into the office and said, “You have paid more than 70,000 yuan into the pension, and have already received two years of benefits. You’ll have to wait...”
After I returned home, I discussed it with my family, and they all believed that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was violating the law.
I later shared this matter with other practitioners. They suggested that I clarify the facts to people at the Social Security Bureau, as they were also beings who should be saved.
I went to the Social Security Bureau whenever I had time, and told everyone I met the truth about Dafa, the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident, the bloody history of the CCP’s political movements, and so on.
Someone said, “Stop talking! Take a break.”
“If I hadn’t practiced Dafa, I would have died long ago,” I replied. “My spouse is 80 years old, recites ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ every day, and is in good health. How can I not practice something this good? I used to be full of ailments, but after practicing Dafa, all my illnesses disappeared. Do you think I look like a 72-year-old?”
One of them responded, “You can live up to 90!”
One day, a person who looked like a leader said to me, “You can submit a written document to explain your situation in detail.” I thought that was a good idea, as I could write about the facts of Dafa for them.
I asked a practitioner to help me write a letter, and handed it to the Social Security Bureau. They told me to wait for their response, and said they would call me if anything else was needed. I told them, “You will benefit from reading the letter.”
About a month later, I was told to go to the bureau, and that they would repay the pension benefits that had been withheld for more than a year, and resume my benefits as normal.
A few days later, I was told to go to the office to collect the money. I can now receive my benefits normally every month.
