(Minghui.org) A 68-year-old Qinzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region resident was recently sentenced to four years for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Chen Guilian was arrested on May 25, 2022, after being reported by a student, who saw her distributing Falun Gong materials on the street. The police raided her home on the same day, confiscating her Falun Gong books, photo of Falun Gong’s founder, media player, cellphone, and the verdict of her previous prison sentence also for practicing Falun Gong.

Without informing her family, the Qinzhou City Intermediate Court sentenced Ms. Chen to four years with a 20,000 yuan fine on March 26, 2023. Only after her family received a letter from her in May did they learn that she had been sentenced.
