(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa’s significant benefits in improving health and moral character have led to its growing popularity worldwide. On March 25, 2023, practitioners held activities at Plovdiv, Bulgaria. A tourist from Greece went up to practitioners and bowed. She said she wished to show her respect for practitioners’ efforts in telling people about the 23-year-long persecution in China.

People sign the petition after learning about the brutal persecution happening in China.
The woman from Greece was with a tour group. When she saw the peaceful sight of practitioners doing the exercises, she went up to them and bowed several times to express her respect. In return, practitioners did heshi (a gesture of respect) to her. She was delighted.
The warm, sunny weather hinting of spring prompted people to dress in bright colors, step out of their homes and stroll along the streets. Many tourists from other countries were sightseeing in the area.Practitioners set up an information booth at an iconic site in the city. Just as they finished setting up, two women walked up and asked about the information on the banners. Practitioners explained that the banners were exposing the crimes against humanity done by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners who live by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.
Two students from the Plovdiv music school stopped and accepted the fliers practitioners were handing out. After reading the information, they wanted to know why the persecution was happening in China. Practitioners told them as there were 100 million people practicing Falun Dafa in China back in 1999, this exceeded the number of CCP members and the then-CCP head Jiang Zemin launched the persecution out of jealousy.
Two young men, Tasko and Todor went to the information booth. One of them said he’d heard about Falun Dafa, “I know about the persecution suffered by practitioners and the organ harvesting. The CCP is trying to conquer the world through various means.”
He continued, “Isn’t Jiang Zemin dead? Who is persecuting practitioners now?” Practitioners explained that even though the former CCP head is dead the persecution continues. They explained that the from the day it came into being, the CCP has been an enemy of justice and kindness. It uses suppression to control people.
The young men listened intently and signed the petition to end the CCP.
Some passersby asked practitioners who organized and funded their activities. Practitioners told them: Practicing Falun Dafa is free and voluntary. Practitioners organize events on their own initiative to let people know about Falun Dafa and the persecution. They are not paid. They encourage people to go to the official website on the flier to find out more about the mind and body practice.
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
