(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 6 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Prior to the Chinese New Year holiday, which started on January 22, 2023, Ms. Sun Zhenhong, 47, from Jiagou Village, Yushu Town, Daoli District, was arrested from her home by officers from the Daoli District Police Department.
It was reported that 7,000 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong facts printed on them were found at her home some time ago. She was not detained at that time due to the pandemic. Now that the pandemic restrictions have been lifted, the police took her into custody.
Mr. Sun Deli was scheduled to be tried on January 30, 2023.
Ms. Lu Jinglu from the Baoshan District was arrested and taken to the Baoshan District Detention Center on September 29, 2022. She was released on November 8.
Mr. Li Ming from Gucheng County was sentenced to seven years in prison. He was arrested again on February 7, 2017, and was sentenced to six years in prison. Mr. Li is being held in the No. 8 Ward of Fanjiatai Prison, where he is made to do forced labor every day. Mr. Li was scheduled to be released from prison on February 6, 2023.
Ms. Ren Xiu, in her 60's, is being held in Harbin Women’s Prison. She refused to be transformed, and has been placed in a strictly monitored class for six months. She does not have enough to eat, and others are not allowed to give her food. Every day from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m., she has to sit on a small stool. She has been persecuted to the point that she cannot stand up or walk, and is very weak.
Ms. Zhang Fang was scheduled to be tried at 9:30 a.m. on January 30, 2023, in Wenyuhe Court, Chaoyang District.
