(Minghui.org) For many years, volunteers from the Perth Service Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) have been raising awareness in Chinese communities in Western Australia about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong). They have also distributed the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and The Epoch Times editorials that expose the true nature of the CCP, in order to help people make the choice to disassociate themselves from the Party.
Ms. Ge, a Falun Dafa practitioner, is one of these volunteers. She said that more and more Chinese people have learned what the CCP is really like, clearly see how it lies and uses violence, and have quit their memberships in the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Below are some of Ms. Ge’s experiences from her efforts to reach out to Chinese people in Western Australia.
Ms. Ge said that when she was collecting signatures to end the persecution in China near a bus station in Perth, she met a Shanghai woman who had been in Australia for more than ten years.
The woman told Ms. Ge that she knew about Falun Gong and supported it because Falun Gong was good and the CCP was so bad. According to her, the Party has not done anything good—it has just carried out political movements and done many bad things. She said that it is very evil and persecutes people who have faith. The woman said she appreciates people with faith, and she sympathizes with Falun Dafa practitioners. She added that she would like to participate in the next parade practitioners hold.
Ms. Ge told the woman that the CCP is about to collapse and that quitting the Party would ensure peace for herself. The woman said, “The CCP persecutes good people. We all hate the Party. I quit and my whole family will quit.”
Ms. Ge explained that withdrawing from the CCP only works if a person gives her or her personal consent. The woman said, “No one in our family likes the Party. We just can’t find a place to quit. I will quit for all my family members so that they can stay safe.”
At a bus station, Ms. Ge met a Chinese man who’d graduated from a prominent Chinese university and had just arrived in Australia a few months before. Ms. Ge greeted him warmly and told him how to quit the CCP and ensure his safety during the pandemic. He understood and agreed to quit the Party with the alias Xinyu.
Ms. Ge suggested that he read the book Zhuan Falun. He sighed and said, “I feel that the realm of you Falun Gong practitioners is really extraordinary and very high.” He said that more than once. He took a picture of the website information on his mobile phone.
Ms. Ge met a middle-aged woman who also knew about Falun Gong. She told Ms. Ge that her friend’s family member was a practitioner. Ms. Ge suggested she quit the CCP to ensure her safety. She said she’d never joined any CCP organizations. She repeatedly said, “Falun Dafa is good.” Before she left, she told Ms. Ge that she would return to China the following day. “I believe Falun Dafa is good,” she said several times as she walked away.
Ms. Ge also often distributes the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and other informational materials to Chinese people at the service center in Northbridge Chinatown, Perth, so that they will know how to stay safe during the pandemic.
She noticed a man in his 60s waiting for someone. Ms. Ge recounted, “I saw he was Chinese, so I talked to him. He told me that he was from the Beijing Public Security Bureau and was retired.
“I told him the Party uses people and then kills them.” He nodded. I said, “You and I are about the same age, and you know what I say is true.” He nodded and said yes.
“I told him that the CCP staged the Tiananmen self-immolation incident to frame Falun Gong, and he agreed. I told him that the CCP persecutes Dafa, and by quitting the Party he would not be implicated for its crimes. He agreed to quit the Party.”
Another time she was in Chinatown, Ms. Ge met a man who used to work in the Anhui Public Security System in China. “He was probably waiting for someone. I talked to him and asked him where he was from. He said he was from Anhui Province, China, and was a retired police officer.
“I told him about the nature of the Party and the CCP’s persecution. He said that he knew that the Party did many bad deeds, and he agreed to quit the Party. I asked him if he participated in the persecution of Falun Gong.
“He said, ‘I’m not involved. I don’t care about that. It’s not my responsibility. I was in charge of logistics.’”
“His wife came over. I told her that she would be safe if she quit the CCP and she was happy to quit. I gave them amulets, which they accepted, and they took informational materials. Before they left, she thanked me.”
Ms. Ge said, “During the pandemic, I went to a beverage store in Chinatown. I went in with a petition and told the clerks how to stay safe during the pandemic. The Chinese employees were young, and most of them quit the Party and its youth organizations. They were happy and thanked me. In a Chinatown butcher shop, most of the employees, the owner, and customers I met quit the CCP.”
Ms. Ge said she’s also encountered some people who scold her or refuse to listen, but she’s not discouraged or resentful. She just hopes that more Chinese people will learn the facts, ignore the CCP’s lies, put aside prejudices, remain kind in troubled times, and stay away from the Party.
