(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Cui Airong and Ms. Li Jing’e went to visit Ms. Wang Yuying on the morning of September 5, 2023. The two practitioners were arrested by Liu Jun, head of the Huimin County Domestic Security Division, and other police officers who rushed to Ms. Wang’s home. Ms. Cui was officially placed under arrest by the Huimin County Procuratorate. Ms. Li was later released.
Ms. Wu Li, about 40, was arrested at her home by officers from the Hongqi Street Police Station on September 8, 2023, after she went to Jilin University Hospital to talk to people about Falun Gong. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books. Ms. Wu’s current whereabouts are unknown.
Ms. Zeng Fanyu was reported to the police when she talked to people about Falun Gong on November 16, 2023. She was arrested by police from the Xiancheng Sub-district and placed under criminal detention for six days.
Ms. Qi Jie (also known as Qi Cailian) from the Kongtong District was arrested when she talked to people about Falun Gong on November 13, 2023. The police ransacked her home. She was taken to the Kongtong District Detention Center that day.
Ms. Liu Baozhen was reported to the police when she was talked to people about Falun Gong in Zhongtong Township, Yujiang Distrit, and was arrested in early November 2023. She is being held in a detention center.
Mr. Li Shaohai from Liying Village, Jianggezhuang Town, Leting County was arrested by two unidentified people in plainclothes on November 17, 2023, when he talked to people about Falun Gong at the Wangzhuangzi Village Farmers Market.
Six officers from the Yangguang Police Station in Huaxi District broke into Ms. Liu Aihua’s home on the grounds that they discovered Falun Gong materials on August 2, 2023. They confiscated her Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and two audio players.
Ms. Dong Yali from Liquan County went to a grocery market to distribute Falun Gong materials on the morning of October 27, 2023. The staff reported her to the police, and she was arrested by officers from Liquan County Police Department. They handcuffed her and took her to the police department for interrogation.
The officers forcibly took pictures of her, collected her fingerprints, and gave her a physical examination. She was taken to the county detention center that day and detained for 15 days. When Ms. Dong returned home on November 11, she found that the police had ransacked the place and confiscated all of her Falun Gong books.
