(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Tianjin] Mr. Liu Haibin Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
2. [Huixian City, Henan Province] Ms. Sun Xueli Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
3. [Huixian City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Suqin Tried in Court
4. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Ms. Wang Xia Arrested and Detained
5. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Shuqin Arrested
6. [Beijing] Ms. Zhao Yanhua Arrested
7. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Fu Shunju Arrested
8. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Boxin Sentenced to Two Years in Prison

1. [Tianjin] Mr. Liu Haibin Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

It was recently learned that Mr. Liu Haibin from Dongli District was sentenced to four years in prison. He has filed an appeal.

2. [Huixian City, Henan Province] Ms. Sun Xueli Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. Sun Xueli was arrested at home on January 5, 2023. Six months later she was sentenced to four years in prison. Ms. Sun was taken to the Xinxiang City Women’s Prison around September 11, 2023.

3. [Huixian City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Suqin Tried in Court

Ms. Zhang Suqin was arrested on June 14, 2022 and was later released on bail pending trial. She was tried in the Huixian City Court in February 2023. No verdict was pronounced. Ms. Zhang is still detained.

4. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Ms. Wang Xia Arrested and Detained

Ms. Wang Xia from Taolao Township of Linquan County was arrested on August 29, 2023. He was detained in a hostel for two weeks and forcibly brainwashed. 

5. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Shuqin Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shuqin from Jincheng was arrested by officers in two police cars at 10 a.m. on October 16, 2023 for talking to people about Falun Gong.

6. [Beijing] Ms. Zhao Yanhua Arrested

Ms. Zhao Yanhua is an engineer in the Beijing Shouan Fire Company. She was reported to police for distributing truth clarifying materials in a residential community and was arrested by officers from the Hujialou Police Station at 5 p.m., October 12, 2023.

7. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Fu Shunju Arrested

Ms. Fu Shunju from Mengyang Town of Pengzhou City was arrested by officers from the Jiuchi Town Police Station at 9 a.m. on August 28, 2021 for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Jiuchi Town Market. She was escorted back to her home in Yuanshi Village, Mengyang Town. The police threatened her and her family. 

8. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Boxin Sentenced to Two Years in Prison

Ms. Liu Boxin from Sujiatuo of Haidian District, who was disabled, was sentenced to two years in prison. She has filed an appealed. Ms. Liu’s daughter was harassed by an officer last week. The officer asked whether Ms. Liu still practiced Falun Gong and said that she would be placed under residential surveillance if she stayed in the city.
