(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] 86-Year-Old Ms. Yang Yuzhen Sentenced to Prison
3. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Zhang Sujuan Arrested
4. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] The Homes of Ms. Lan Gui’e and Mr. Yang Guijin Ransacked
5. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Qiuju Monitored
6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Bie Daoan’s Home Ransacked
7. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Guofeng Arrested
8. [Ningde City, Fujian Province] Ms. Jiang Hong and Ms. Chen Youqin Arrested
9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Guichun Arrested

1. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Fan Xiaoli Sentenced to Five Years in Prison

Ms. Fan Xiaoli was taken to the Horqin District Detention Center on February 17, 2023. She was sentenced to five years in prison and taken to Hohhot Women’s Prison in mid-September 2023.

2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] 86-Year-Old Ms. Yang Yuzhen Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Yang Yuzhen, 86, from Shinan District, was sentenced to one year and six months in prison and fined 5,000 yuan by Shibei District Court on September 16, 2023.

3. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Zhang Sujuan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Sujuan from Xunyang Village, Luancheng District, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, was caught on surveillance cameras when she distributed Falun Gong materials in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province.

On the afternoon of September 15, 2023, the Chengguan Police Department of Luancheng District called Ms. Zhang to go to the local police station for verification. When she went there she was taken away by officers from Ningbo City.

4. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] The Homes of Ms. Lan Gui’e and Mr. Yang Guijin Ransacked

Police officers went to Ms. Lan Gui’e’s home in Eyi District and ransacked the place on the morning of September 8. 2023. They confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun.

Mr. Yang Guijin was arrested by five officers on September 6, 2023, and his home was ransacked after he handed out paper strips with Falun Gong information written on them. The officers confiscated all his Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and small music boxes. Mr. Yang was released that day.

5. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Qiuju Monitored

Ms. Wang Qiuju from Baoshan District has been monitored by officers from the Liuhang Police Station who stayed downstairs at her apartment building since September 16, 2023. It was said the monitoring would last through the period of the Asian Games held in Hangzhou.

6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Bie Daoan’s Home Ransacked

Mr. Bie Daoan, 73, from Wuchang District, was reported to the police when he talked to people about Falun Gong on July 4, 2023. The police identified him through the CCP’s surveillance system. Officers from the Yujiatou Police Station ransacked Mr. Bie’s home and confiscated his Falun Gong books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. Officers from the Xujiapeng Police Station went to his home and harassed him three times.

Since August, the local Changlun Community Neighborhood Committee has forced him to report in person and read brainwashing materials for about an hour, which is still ongoing. If he does not go, they come to his home and threaten him with prison terms, pension deductions, and claim they will stop his granddaughter from attending school. The harassment has seriously disrupted his family’s life.

7. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Guofeng Arrested

Mr. Liu Guofeng was arrested and taken to a detention center when he distributed information about Falun Gong in early September 2023.

8. [Ningde City, Fujian Province] Ms. Jiang Hong and Ms. Chen Youqin Arrested

Ms. Jiang Hong and Ms. Chen Youqin from Fu’an City were arrested at their homes on September 18, 2023, and their homes were ransacked. Their friends and families have not heard from them.

9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Guichun Arrested

Ms. Yu Guichun from Hunnan District was arrested by officers from the Shenhe District Police Department on September 19, 2023. No further information is available.
