July 20th Commentary: Today’s “Achievements,” Tomorrow’s Criminal Evidence

July 23, 2022 |   By Li Sancai

(Minghui.org) The past 23 years in China were no ordinary times. While everything appeared normal with the usual hustle and bustle in society, a large number of innocent people were being detained and tortured for their faith inside the detention centers, labor camps, and prisons.

They are practitioners of Falun Gong, a meditation system based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began its persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, numerous practitioners have been targeted for striving to be good citizens. Many detained practitioners were subjected to physical torture, forced labor, mental abuse, involuntary drug administration, and even forced organ harvesting.

July 20 is a significant day. On this day 23 years ago, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched a large-scale campaign against Falun Gong and vowed to eradicate the mind-body practice within three months.

More than two decades have passed, and Falun Gong is still standing tall and the persecution is running out of steam. Despite this, however, the CCP has been successful in using astronomical amounts of money and various coercion tactics to force its law enforcement, procuratorates, courts, justice bureaus, detention facilities, and other government agencies to keep committing crimes against the peaceful spiritual community of Falun Gong practitioners.

A practitioner with celestial vision once saw that when police and government officials persecuted Falun Gong, they were rewarded with honors, money, and promotions in the human world; but in other dimensions, the exact opposite was happening. Every time they received a reward, they accumulated more karma. The CCP may label them as great heroes, but in other dimensions they’ve sold their souls to the evil.

As a matter of fact, amidst the ongoing persecution, the eternal principle of what goes around come around has already revealed itself among the perpetrators.

Li Quan was a police officer in Longbei Community of Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. After the CCP began to suppress Falun Gong in 1999, Li actively followed the persecution policy to harass, arrest, and detain local practitioners. He was directly responsible for sending six practitioners to labor camps, one to jail, and nearly twenty to various other detention facilities. Three of the practitioners lost their lives as a result.

Although practitioners kept urging Li to stop blindly following the CCP in harming the innocent, he did not listen. In the end, he died at age 56 of a sudden heart attack in November 2021. Many local practitioners believe that his untimely death was related to his involvement in the persecution.

While Li’s case is an extreme example, many other perpetrators have faced consequences in various other forms, such as being removed from office and suffering different kinds of mishaps, either in the name of corruption or being treated by the CCP as scapegoats to cover up its crimes.

As of July 2018, 20,784 CCP members who participated in the persecution of Falun Gong had bad endings. Some were sentenced, some were under investigation and others suffered terminal diseases and died.

Among them, 9,162 people, or 44 percent, were directly involved in arresting, indicting, and sentencing practitioners. They included 764 in the CCP’s Political and Legal Affairs Committee (PLAC) system, 1,614 in the 610 Office system, 118 in the procuratorate system, 338 in the court system, 52 in the Ministry of Justice, and 5,512 in the public security system.

In particular, the 610 Office, an extralegal agency created for the sole purpose of persecuting Falun Gong, has become the well-known “death positions.” According to data compiled by Minghui.org, between 1999 and 2020, a total of 1,689 agents in the 610 Office system have received karmic retribution for their bad deeds.

The latest agent who has met with consequence was Fu Zhenghua, the Chinese Minister of Justice and former Central 610 Office director. He was investigated on October 2, 2021 for “serious violation of discipline and law.” He is the seventh Central 610 Office or Political and Legal Affairs Committee top official to be taken down in recent years.

In addition to being purged within the CCP, those perpetrators also face sanctions from the international community. After the U.S. passed the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act in 2016, countries including Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Norway, and the European Union (27 countries) all passed similar laws.

In history, the Roman Empire suffered four great plagues and destruction for its persecution of Christians. Four emperors in China’s history died in their prime because they did not respect Buddha. There are enough stories to remind us that terror and violence always failed to conquer a righteous faith and those who follow the authorities in persecuting good people are the real victims themselves.

Gods are everywhere watching. For those who persecute Falun Gong and its Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance belief, their “achievements” today will become criminal evidence to bring them to justice tomorrow.
