(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Sun Tairong, 52, was arrested by Domestic Security Division officers including Lu Bingtao from the Nangang District Police Department on January 20, 2022. Her arrest was officially approved on February 16, 2022. The case against her has now been filed to the Daoli District Procuratorate.
After being quarantined for 20 days in the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center, Ms. Sun was locked up in room 411, and was recently transferred to room 417.
Agents from the Wuhan City 610 Office transferred Ms. Sun Junying from the Wuhan City No.1 Detention Center to a brainwashing center on the evening of June 25, 2022.
Ms. He Ruxian was reported to the police for talking about Falun Gong and was taken to the Luanzhou Police Station by agents from the Luanzhou Domestic Security Division on May 26, 2022. Police identified her that afternoon and her home was ransacked. Her belongings were seized including her Falun Gong books. She was to be held for seven days, but because of the pandemic, she was released that evening.
Because Mr. Gou Jiawen has been taking care of his elderly mother in her 90s he has not lived at his registered permanent residence for several years. Agents from his permanent residence, the Xiangfengqiao Community, went to his mother’s home multiple times and harassed him, which traumatized his mother.
Agents, including officer Zhang Ruiheng from the Xiangfengqiao Community, went to his mother’s home to harass him again on May 3, 2022. After getting inside the home, a police assistant prepared to take photos. Mr. Gou immediately stopped him.
Ms. Wang Guijuan is a renowned Chinese zither teacher who is authorized to issue grade certificates. Not only is she an exemplary zither teacher, but she also teaches her students to be good people. She is loved and esteemed by her students and their parents. She was arrested for explaining the facts about Falun Gong in April 2021 by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Wenfeng Police Department in Anyang City, Henan Province. She has been held in the Anyang Detention Center for over a year.
It was learned that Ms. Wang was tried in the Wenfeng Court two months ago. She is still held in the Anyang Detention Center.
Three officers from the Xicheng Police Station, wearing bodycams, went to Ms. Xu Feng’s home around 5:30 p.m. on June 7, 2022. They seized four Falun Gong books and took Ms. Xu to the police station where she was questioned and her answers were recorded. After her son signed a guarantee statement for her, she was released around 9 p.m. that day.
Ms. Mao Jiqiong and her husband from Gong’an County were taking care of their grandson in Wuhan City in November 2021. Agents from the Jingjiang Community called Ms. Mao’s husband and her daughter-in-law and told them to pressure Ms. Mao to sign statements that defame Falun Gong. When this did not work, the agents signed the statements on Ms. Mao’s behalf.
Ms. Zhang is almost 80 years old. Officers from the Nanping Town Police Station barged into her home in May 2022 and asked her whether she went to the countryside to distribute informational materials about Falun Gong. Officers from the Banzhudang Town Police Station later called Ms. Zhang to harass her.
Mr. Da Wusan and Ms. Shi were reported to the police and arrested on June 22, 2022, when they were distributing information about Falun Gong. Their homes and Mr. Erzhu’s home were ransacked afterward. Mr. Erzhu was not home at the time. His wife, who is not a practitioner, tried to stop the police from ransacking her home and was consequently arrested too.
Authorities from the Gaocheng Economic and Technological Development Zone Police Department have been persecuting Mr. Wu Xiumian. Mr. Wu was reported to the police for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in January 2022. He was sentenced to 6 months in prison but was allowed to serve the term outside of prison. His term will end around July 7, 2022. He was recently ordered to go to the Gaocheng Economic and Technological Development Zone Police Department. Mr. Wu has left home to avoid further persecution.
