(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 33 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Shao Xiubo Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Ms. Shao Xiubo from Suzigou Town of Xiuyan County was sentenced to three years in prison. She appealed her case. She is currently detained in the Anshan City Detention Center.

2. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Xiumei Arrested

Ms. Chen Xiumei from Lidu Town of Jialing District was arrested at home by a group of officers on February 19, 2022. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Shujuan and Ms. Sun Jing Arrested and Detained

Ms. Liu Shujuan and Ms. Sun Jing from the Shuncheng District were arrested on February 25, 2022, for talking to people about Falun Gong on the street. They were placed under 10-day detention on February 27, 2022, and will be released on March 8, 2022.

4. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Pan Shuxian Harassed

Ms. Pan Shuxian was harassed at home by police officers from Fate Town on February 25, 2022. Her home was ransacked and her truth clarifying materials were confiscated.

5. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Kong Fanqin and Ms. Zhang Zhongying Arrested

Ms. Kong Fanqin was arrested at her home in the Zhengyang Community by the police on February 24, 2022. Her home was ransacked and her personal belongings were confiscated including her Falun Gong books, media players and paper bills imprinted with Falun Gong facts. Ms. Zhang Zhongying was visiting Ms. Kong when the police came. She was arrested as well. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books.

Both practitioners were taken to the police department for interrogation. They did not cooperate with the police. Ms. Zhang Zhongying was released in the afternoon. Ms. Kong Fanqin was taken to have a physical exam but was denied admission by the detention house due to her high blood pressure. She was bailed out by her son later that day.

6. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Jing Arrested

Ms. Sun Jing was taken from her home by police around February 10, 2022. She has not returned home yet.

7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Fangxu Arrested

Mr. Zhao Fangxu from the Development District was arrested on February 27, 2022, after he talked to people about Falun Gong. Numerous officers from the Lingzhushan Police Station went to his home around 8 p.m. and ransacked it. His Falun Gong books, computer, and printer were confiscated.

8. [Beijing] Eleven Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Eleven practitioners were arrested and detained in the Dongcheng Detention Center on July 19, 2020. They are Ms. Xu Na, Mr. Li Zongze, Ms. Zheng Yujie, Mr. Li Lixin, Ms. Zheng Yanmei, Ms. Deng Jingjing, Mr. Zhang Renfei, Mr. Liu Qiang, Ms. Meng Qingxia, Li Jiaxuan, and Ms. Jiao Mengjiao.

The cases against them were submitted to the Dongcheng District Procuratorate in early April 2021. They were tried in the Dongcheng District Court on October 15, 2021, and were sentenced by the Dongcheng District Court on January 14, 2022.

Ms. Xu Na was sentenced to eight years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan; four practitioners Ms. Mr. Li Zhongze, Mr. Li Lixin, Ms. Zheng Yanjie, and Ms. Zheng Yanmei, were sentenced to four years in prison with a fine of 10,000 yuan; four practitioners Ms. Dong Jingjing, Mr. Zhang Renfei, Mr. Liu Qiang and Ms. Meng Qingxia, were sentenced to four years in prison with a fine of 8000 yuan; two practitioners Li Jiaxuan and Ms. Jiao Mengjiao, were sentenced to two years in prison with a fine of 4000 yuan.

All the practitioners appealed and their cases are now in the No.2 Intermediate Court of Beijing.

9. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Xiufen Arrested

Ms. Chen Xiufen was arrested by officers from the Haizhu District Police Department on January 26, 2022. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books and truth-clarifying materials were confiscated. Ms. Chen is currently detained in the Haizhou District Detention Center.

10. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] The Cases Against Three Practitioners Submitted to the Procuratorate

Three practitioners Ms. Li Caixia, Ms. Zhang Ling, and Mr. Sun Shiwei were arrested by officers from the Jinxiu Police Station in Development District on November 2, 2021. Ms. Zhang Ling and Mr. Sun Shiwei were later bailed out. Ms. Li Caixia has been detained in the Hefei City Women’s Detention Center.

Their cases were submitted to the Shushan District Procuratorate around February 10, 2022.

11. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Bai Xuesong and Ms. Shi Yanying Face Court Trial

Mr. Bai Xuesong and Ms. Shi Yanying will be tried in the Lishan Court at 1 p.m. on March 4, 2022.

12. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xue Guiyun and Bu Yuxin Arrested

Bu Yuxin (gender unknown) and Ms. Xue Guiyun from the Jiapigou Community were arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yi Mingxiang Arrested

Ms. Yi Mingxiang was arrested in summer 2020 after she distributed truth-clarifying materials. She was taken to the Huanghua Police Station and was pressured to sign a guarantee statement, which she refused. Her family paid 10,000 yuan and she was released on bail pending trial.

Ms. Yi was tricked into going to the police station in January 2022 and was forced to give the statement.

14. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] The Cases Against Ms. Guo Shufen and Ms. Jia Jingwen Submitted to the Procuratorate

Ms. Guo Shufen and Ms. Jia Jingwen are detained in the Jinzhou Women’s Detention Center. Their cases were submitted to the Linghai City Procuratorate on February 18 and February 20, 2022, respectively.

15. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Ma Wenbin Arrested

Mr. Ma Wenbin was reported to the police and was arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials in Lanwan Community in Erdao District, February 19-26, 2022. He was taken to the local police station and beaten. He is currently in detention.

16. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Li Arrested

Ms. Wang Li from the Yujingyuan Community in the Yangming District was arrested by police when she talked to people about Falun Gong on the street on February 17, 2022. She was arrested shortly afterward and had a stroke (cerebral hemorrhage).
