(Minghui.org) A Falun Dafa practitioner in her 70s went to a supermarket to clarify the truth. There were quite a few people there, including five high school students, all boys. The practitioner gave them informational materials and advised them to quit the Youth League and the Young Pioneers—two Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organizations. Two of them agreed to quit.
The other three didn’t look at the information carefully. As soon as they saw the words “Heaven destroys the CCP,” they shouted, “You are against the Party! You practice Falun Dafa!” They grabbed the woman and called the police.
Police officers soon arrived and asked the woman where she was from, but she didn’t answer. An onlooker who knew her told the police where she lived. Then they asked the woman her name and she said, “Call me Falun Dafa.”
They called the police department and got the woman’s name, then shouted in front of the crowd, “Let’s go to the station.” The woman said, “I’m not going. It’s getting dark.”
One officer said to the three boys who’d reported the woman, “It’s getting dark. You can go home.” The students left. Seeing that there were still some onlookers, the officer whispered to the practitioner, “Go with us for a while, and then you can just turn the corner and head home.” The woman told the police, “Be kind to practitioners for a safe future.” They nodded.
So the woman pushed her bike and the police officers followed behind her. When they arrived at an intersection, the woman stopped. The police told her to keep going but she said, “No, it’s getting dark. I’ve never gone this far. I will be lost if I go any further.” The police then let her go home.
Thanks to the unremitting efforts of practitioners to clarify the truth, many police officers now understand what Falun Dafa is. They are reluctant to participate in the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa. Although they sometimes have to carry out orders from their superiors, many try their best to protect practitioners in their own way.
The woman later returned to the supermarket for a few days to clarify the truth. Many people learned that Falun Dafa is good and the persecution is wrong.
I would like to remind fellow practitioners, that when facing people who have not learned the facts about Falun Dafa, we should not start our conversation by saying, “Heaven will destroy the CCP.” We need to target people's misunderstandings and talk about things that they can easily understand, so that we can avoid direct conflict and evoking people’s evil thoughts. Only then can we better awaken people’s good thoughts.
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, issued an order to ban the practice.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 22 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. More have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply the organ transplant industry.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
