(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Zheng Suzhen from Hantai District was investigated by the Cult Reconnaissance Unit of the Hanzhong City Police Department and by the Hantai Police Department in May 2022. Ms. Zheng received notice from the Hantai District Court that she would be tried at 2:30 p.m. on November 30, 2022.
Since October 2022, police officers, the Jinghai District community management office staff, and people from the Jinghai Town Comprehensive Management Office, have harassed Falun Gong practitioners at their homes, resulting in great harm to the practitioners and their families.
Ms. Xu Fengyu, who lives alone in Jinghai District, has been missing since August 2022. Her whereabouts are unknown.
Since September 2022, a group of eight or nine people, including officers from the Qingzhou City Domestic Security Division, the Tanfang Town Police Station, and the village Party secretaries, have repeatedly harassed and threatened Falun Gong practitioners.
The Zhangyang Village Party secretary led people to harass practitioners. They took photos and searched practitioners’ homes on September 29. They climbed over the wall to break into Mr. Zhang Shuwen’s home, and rummaged through his rooms. They found two computers, one of which belonged to his child, as well as a printer, and other personal belongings. Mr. Zhang’s current whereabouts are unknown.
Ms. Shi Jingzhu was arrested at her rented home by officers from the Nanling Police Station on November 11, 2022. The officers confiscated about five cartons of personal belongings. She is currently being held at an quarantine facility in the Haoyue Area. Further information is pending.
Practitioner Zhou from the Huancui District was reported to the Wenquan Police Station by two people, while they were distributing desk calendars, at around 9:20 a.m. on November 24, 2022. She was arrested by three officers from the police station.
Ms. Liu Guirong was again arrested by Domestic Security officers and officers from the Jiarongli Police Station in the Beichen District at 11 a.m. on November 19, 2022. She has not returned home yet. Details about her situation are not clear.
Mr. Zhu Deshan was arrested by Domestic Security officers from the Yilan County Police Department on the morning of October 23, 2022. Four or five plainclothes officers ransacked his home.
Ms. Ning Shuxian went to Mr. Zhu’s home at around 8 a.m. and brought pancakes to his mother. As soon as she entered, a person in plainclothes grabbed her and said, “You are in the same group. What’s your name?” Ms. Ning did not answer. The person later asked her name again, and she said, “I’m here to deliver pancakes.” They refused to listen, and four or five police officers tried to handcuff her. Ms. Ning refused to cooperate and the officers were not able to put handcuffs on her.
The officers took Mr. Zhu’s wife, Ms. Yang Xiulian, and Ms. Ning to the police station, where they were body searched and interrogated. Ms. Ning refused to cooperate. Ms. Ning was held in custody overnight. By the next evening, officer Liu Zhanming told her that her daughter would pick her up and she would be released on bail.
Mr. Zhu is being held in the Bayan Detention Center.
Mr. Wang Xiuguo and Ms. Sun Jing were reported to the police by a villager while talking to people about Falun Gong near Qiandian Town, Shuncheng District, on May 29, 2022. They were arrested.
In the past six months, Wei Zhengxing, Gong Guan, and other Domestic Security officers from the Fushun City Police Department, and others in the public security, procuratorial, and court systems collaborated to prosecute the two practitioners. They scheduled the trial at Shuncheng District Court via video link at 9 a.m. on November 25, 2022. The two practitioners will attend the trial in the detention center and two lawyers will be in the courtroom. Ms. Sun’s son will defend her as a family member.
The Taihu County Court tentatively scheduled a trial for Mr. Huang Zhisong and Mr. Jiang Xiagen in the No. 7 trial courtroom of Taihu County Court on the morning of December 8, 2022.
Ms. Guo Mingqing was arrested by police for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong near her home. They threatened her, “We will release you for now, but we will still arrest you.”
Ms. Guo felt uneasy and left home in early September 2022. She first stayed one night at the home of a fellow practitioner she knew well, then left without telling anyone where she was going. She has not returned. Ms. Guo’s elderly mother looked for her everywhere, but no one knows where she is.
