(Minghui.org) Since the beginning of the 2022 winter season, every Friday afternoon, Swedish Falun Dafa practitioners have introduced Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) to the public at the Mynttorget next to the Parliament House in Stockholm. They have exposed the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and collected signatures on a petition calling for an end to the CCP’s ruthlessness. The public has been very supportive of practitioners' efforts to bring the persecution to an end.

“You Are Righteous and Will Surely Succeed”

On December 3 a young man carefully read all the information on the display boards. He expressed his interest in the exercises, and said that he seemed to have a predestined relationship with Falun Dafa. “I was born in 1996,” he said, “and live in a small town near Gothenburg. I often come to Stockholm. Every time I pass by this old city, I almost always could see you here. Sometimes when I didn’t see you, I would feel a little regretful.” He said with a smile, “I’m really glad to finally see you again today.”

The practitioner told him about the practice of Falun Dafa, and that Dafa books could be downloaded without charge from the Internet. He also told him that Falun Dafa practitioners use their spare time and weekends to introduce Falun Dafa to people. They also raise awareness of the CCP’s cruel persecution and its state-sanctioned organ harvesting from living practitioners. The purpose is to allow more people to recognize the evil nature of the CCP, so that they will not be deceived by its lies. 

When the young man learned that people could learn the Falun Dafa exercises online for free, he quickly took a picture of the information about the class with his mobile phone. He also expressed indignation at the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong and human rights violations. “Please tell your friends that you must persevere. You are righteous and will succeed. I will always stand by your side, and support your efforts to end the persecution.” 

“This Is Not Allowed” 

“My name is Kerstin,” said a local resident. “When I met you next to the concert hall last Saturday, I signed a petition. I sympathize with and support you. The organ harvesting from living practitioners is shocking and difficult to believe. The CCP’s [organ harvesting of living practitioners] is killing people, which is not allowed by God. You are doing the right thing.”

She said she was touched to know that Falun Dafa practitioners offered free teaching. “I’m interested in learning qigong, but I’ve never heard of one that doesn’t cost money. I must try such a beautiful exercise.” 

Then she inquired about the group practice site near the city center. “I must go to the practice site to learn the exercises face to face. It is important to have an energy field,” she said.

“Falun Gong Practitioners Are Doing Amazing Things. Of Course We Must Support Them!”

One Friday afternoon, when Alexander, a young man from Kazakhstan, passed by the venue, he did not hesitate to sign the petition. When a practitioner asked him if he knew that the CCP persecuted Falun Gong practitioners, he replied in fluent Chinese, “I learned about Falun Gong and its persecution when I was in the United States. The CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong is too cruel. I support you very much.”

“The CCP is the most evil and barbaric dictatorship in the world,” added Alexander and he accepted a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, interested in learning more about the history of the CCP.

Alexander said that he admired the persistence of Falun Gong practitioners, who have raised awareness of the persecution for more than 20 years. “You are persistently exposing the CCP’s crimes here,” he said, “so that more people will be like me and stop trusting the CCP. It does everything, including organ harvesting. I can tell, it’s just too evil. What you have done is amazing. Of course I want to support you.”

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why is the CCP persecuting it?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years, though due to the difficulty in getting information out of China, the actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
