(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 21 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhao Xiqing Arrested

Mr. Zhao Xiqing, in his 80s, was arrested in his home in the Xuzhou No. 4 Village, Jiang’an District, on October 17, 2022. His home was ransacked.

2. [Beijing] Mr. Huang Yongchang Arrested

Mr. Huang Yongchang, a retired professor who worked at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, School of Applied Mathematics and Physics, Beijing University of Technology, was arrested at his home around 7 p.m. on October 11, 2022, by officers from the Domestic Security Division of Ministry of Public Security and the Panjiayuan Police Station.

Nine days have passed and he is still being held in the Chaoyang District Detention Center.

3. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Guo Shizhu Arrested

Guo Shizhu (gender unknown) was reported to the police when he or she talked to people about Falun Gong in Xin’an Town, Bazhou City, Langfang City, on October 20, 2022. Guo was arrested by officers from the Xin’an Town Police Station. The officers confiscated a cell phone, several books, and other personal items. Guo’s current whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Shang Gaochao Arrested

Mr. Shang Gaochao was arrested in his hometown in Xinshi Town by three or four officers from the Liquan County Police Department’s Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of October 10, 2022. He was held in the Liquan County Detention Center.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Six Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhang Meiling from the Laishan District was sentenced to three years and six months in prison. She was severely abused physically. She is being held in the Yantai City Detention Center.

Ms. Sun Dingmei from the Laishan District was sentenced to three years in prison and was taken to the Jinan Women’s Prison in August 2022. She was severely abused physically.

Ms. Liang Yaomin from Haiyang City was sentenced to three years and six months in prison. She was held in the Yantai Detention Center. She was severely abused physically and developed severe symptoms of heart disease.

Ms. Wang Xuemei from Haiyang City was sentenced to one year and six months in prison. She is being held in the Yantai Detention Center.

Ms. Sun Mingxia will be released in December 2022.

Mr. Wang Jianmin from Laiyang City was sentenced to nine years in prison. He was taken to Jinan in June 2021. Mr. Wang’s blood pressure was as high as 200. His eyesight deteriorated as a result of being abused.

6. [Beijing] Ms. Yang Zuomei Held in Detention Center

Ms. Yang Zuomei was arrested by officers from the Huoying Police Station on October 9, 2022. She is being held in the Changping County Detention Center.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Bian Hongxiang Arrested

Mr. Bian Hongxiang, in his 70s, from Shulan City was arrested at another practitioner’s home in Erdao District in recent days. His whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Four Practitioners Harassed

Officers from the Ning County Domestic Security Division and the Chengguan Police Station harassed practitioners Fan Juncao, Li Xuening, Li Jianguo, and Li Qinben. At Mr. Li Qinben’s home, the officers photographed his family members and pressured them to sign paperwork.

9. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Zhuo Weiping’s Home Ransacked

Officer Li from the Xiaohe District Domestic Security Division and officer Guan from the Huanghe Police Station broke into Ms. Zhuo Weiping’s home on October 7, 2022. They ransacked the place and confiscated her Falun Gong books, U disks, and 200 yuan in paper bills that had information about Falun Gong written on them.

10. [Beijing] Ms. Qi Yingchun Arrested

Haidian Police Station officers, Domestic Security officers, and 610 Office members cut off the electric power supply to Ms. Qi Yingchun’s home, disconnected Internet access, and monitored her on July 24, 2022. They confiscated 78 Falun Gong books, two computers, three audio players, and an old cell phone.

Ms. Qi was taken to the Haidian District Case Handling Center, where they collected samples of her blood, and gave her an electrocardiogram and B-ultrasound examinations. She was interrogated for 24 hours.

Ms. Qi refused to sign paperwork and was later taken to the detention center. Due to the pandemic, the detention center refused to accept her. She was released on bail for one year and was told she could be summoned at any time.

11. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Lu Fengrong Arrested

Five officers from the Tongdong Road Police Station in Tiefeng District broke into the home of Lu Fengrong (gender unknown) on July 7, 2022. They confiscated all the Falun Gong books, a computer, a cell phone, a tablet, an audio player, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. Lu was taken to Tiefeng District Police Department and was interrogated until 6:40 p.m. Lu was later released on bail.

12. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Airu’s Home Ransacked

Over 10 officers from the Huai’an County Police Department broke into Ms. Liu Airu’s home and ransacked the place on September 19, 2022. They confiscated Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, U disks, keepsakes, and New Year paintings that were displayed on the wall.

13. [Chongqing] Wang Guanglin Harassed

Staff members of the Longfengqiao Sub-district Administration Office in Beibei District and police officers harassed and photographed Wang Guanglin (gender unknown) on the afternoon of October 20, 2022, which disrupted Wang’s normal work and life.
