(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Liu Yueli was tried in the Haizhu District Court at the end of 2021 and was sentenced to four years in prison in 2022. She appealed her case. She is currently held in the Panyu District Detention Center.
Officer Hao Xiaojun from the Zhucheng City Police Department pressured Ms. Zheng Zhimei and Ms. Li Mingxia to sign the so-called “Fingerprint DNA Result” in order to further persecute them.
Mr. Gao Peifa works in the No. 450 Factory in Erjie Town, Jinning County. He was arrested at his workplace by officers from the Anning City on October 10, 2022. His home was then ransacked. The police confiscated his Falun Gong books and truth-clarifying materials. Mr. Gao has been detained in the Songming County Detention House.
Ms. Lu Dejing lives in Dagucheng Village, Xiaonanxinbao Town, Huailai County. She went to Tianjin City for business on October 16, 2022. As soon as she arrived she was identified as a Falun Gong practitioner via the CCP’s nationwide database. She was taken to the Xiaonanxinbao Town Police Station that evening. The police warned her not to go out during the 20th National Congress of the CCP.
Ms. Guo Yurong from Dongpo District was arrested at home on October 10, 2022. Her home was ransacked. She was first detained in the Jintang County Detention Center and was then transferred to the Pengshan District Detention Center a week later. Two weeks later she was transferred to the Meishan City Detention Center and is still incarcerated there.
Ms. Zhu Yuxia was taken to the procuratorate for interrogation by Zhang Bairui from the Xiguang Police Station on the afternoon of November 7, 2022. Her case was filed with the procuratorate.
Ms. Ye Youlian, 68, was arrested at home by three officers from the Qianchuan Police Station in Huangpi District on September 21, 2022. The police ransacked her home and confiscated more than 50 Falun Gong books. Ms. Ye was taken to the police station for interrogation but was released that evening.
Ms. Zhang Shujie and another practitioner were riding an e-bike on the road when a police car stopped in front of them on September 17, 2022. The police stepped out of the car and attempted to take a photo of them.
Three practitioners, Li Caixia, Sun Shiwei, and Zhang Ling, were arrested in November 2021. Li Caixia has been detained since then. Sun Shiwei and Zhang Ling were released on bail pending trial. Their case was submitted to the Shushan District Court in May 2022.
Mr. Pan Qin, 87, has been harassed by the Shijingshan District police multiple times. The police confiscated his Falun Gong books and multiple laptops.
Mr. Pan went to the Shijingshan District Police Department on the morning of October 31, 2022 to request that his Falun Gong books and the photo of Falun Gong’s founder that they confiscated during the 20th National Congress of the CCP, be returned. He was not allowed to enter the building. An officer came to his home that afternoon and returned the photo of Falun Gong’s founder. But his Falun Gong books were not returned.
Ms. Wang Yulan was harassed at home by officers from the Puji Road Police Station on October 30, 2022. They photographed her with their cell phones. Ms. Wang’s son received a harassing call a few days ago.
Three officers from the Xujialou Police Station in Tangshan District went to Mr. Liu Xishang’s home at 7 p.m. on October 4, 2022. They videotaped his home.
Three officers went to harass Mr. Liu’s family members at 3 p.m. on November 8, 2022. They insisted on talking to Mr. Liu and threatened to break into his home or make trouble for his child.
