(Minghui.org) I feel very fortunate to practice Falun Dafa. Throughout my cultivation of over ten years, I experienced a big change in my mind and body. Every minute of my cultivation was empowered by the great and benevolent Master. I was protected, enlightened, and encouraged.
A colleague saw that my movements were slow in May 2010 and was concerned. So she asked me, “Are you not feeling well? The healing effects of Falun Dafa are very good.” I asked, “Can Falun Dafa also heal illnesses?”
She said, “Yes, Falun Dafa has five sets of simple and graceful exercises. The fifth one is meditation, which requires our legs to be in the lotus position. As the saying goes, ‘Crossing the legs in the lotus position works even better than taking medicine.’” As she said that, she sat down and crossed her legs in the lotus position.
At the time, I thought that if I could cross my legs in the lotus position like her, my legs would definitely not ache again. However, after this conversation, due to the influence of our atheistic education, I did not believe that Dafa was miraculous.
Instead, I continued to resort to traditional treatment methods, including taking medication, having injections, traction, pasting medicinal patches, acupuncture, and massage. However, my body ached even more, which made it difficult to turn over when I slept and bothered me when I walked.
Half a year later, a woman said to me, “I give you a precious book. After reading it, you will be free of illnesses.” I asked, “Is it really that miraculous?” She nodded. So, I obtained the precious book Zhuan Falun.
After reading through Zhuan Falun once, I knew that it teaches people to be good. After reading it the second time, I saw that it teaches people to cultivate, and it answered all the questions that I had about life. When I read it the third time, I realized that this book was actually a heavenly book, which reveals the origin and purpose of life, the truth about celestial bodies, the universe, life, and traditional Chinese culture. The book is profound, pure, and graceful with a real cultivation method and objective. I was so fortunate not to miss this precious opportunity.
As I read the book and Master’s other lectures, the pain in my body disappeared. My skin glowed, and I felt very light as I walked. When I tell people my age, nobody believes me. I said, “This is all because I cultivate in Falun Dafa.” Seeing the changes in my body, my family, relatives and friends started to practice Dafa as well.
When I practiced Dafa for less than one month and had yet to do the exercises, Master gave me an encouragement. One night, while I was sleeping, I had just closed my eyes and noticed two streams of golden rays shooting from my eyes. When I opened my eyes, the rays disappeared, but when I closed my eyes again, the two streams of gold rays once again shot to afar. I was shaken. This Dafa is so powerful, and I let go of my atheistic thoughts.
When I had just obtained my driver license and drove back home, I took a wrong exit from the highway. When I saw two cars coming toward me, I realized that I was going the wrong way. As my car reached a lower level of the overpass, I somehow merged into the traffic flow in the correct direction. I reached home soon after that. This was like a dream!
After returning home, I told my family about it, but no one believed me. They assumed that I must have driven through an opening in the divider rail in the middle of the road.
The next day, we visited the location to check it out. The road segment was long but the divider rail in the center of the roads did not have any openings. They all said practicing Falun Dafa is really miraculous!
To better tell people about the persecution of Falun Dafa, I set up a production site at my house to print reports, keepsakes, posters, and so on. These materials were given to other practitioners, who distributed them in markets and temples.
Every year, in order to distribute calendars with information about Dafa, we went to remote towns and villages. We also went to neighboring counties to put up posters and talk to people about Dafa. A practitioner whose celestial eye is open said, “There are dragons and phoenixes on top of our car. At the front of the car, there is a deity that protects us too.”
Once at a classmates’ gathering, at our table of ten people, eight classmates agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organizations and accepted keepsakes from me. Two of them are practicing Dafa now. My relatives and friends nearby have quit the CCP organizations.
A few years ago a friend of mine hit rock bottom in his career. His company was shut down and he was in deep debt. He owed me hundreds of thousands of dollars, which were all my savings. When others turned up at his door to ask for repayment, they mistreated him.
I thought, “As a cultivator, I should understand and comfort him.” When I did that, he was very grateful and said, “You Falun Dafa practitioners are really different. I thank you and respect you from the bottom of my heart.” He truly believed in Dafa and agreed to quit the CCP organizations.
Once, I saw a police car and had only one thought: to send them the message that “Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” and have them wake up so that they can be saved. Master said that everyone on earth was once his relative in history. Then they are also my relatives in history.
After filing a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, the former CCP head who initiated the persecution, the police went to my house. But in my heart, I did not treat them as enemies. After inviting them to sit down, I gave them water.
“Suing Jiang Zemin is a right given to citizens by the Constitution. Practicing Falun Dafa is not illegal. Article 36 of the Constitution clearly states that citizens have the freedom of belief.
“When a police officer handles a case, he would have lifelong responsibility for wrongdoing. There are no grudges between us. You all also have no grudges against Falun Dafa.”
In my heart, I just felt that these policemen were pitiful and that I could not let them do any wrong things against Dafa. Maybe because of my selfless thought of helping them, Master destroyed the evil elements that controlled them from other dimensions. The policemen sat quietly and listened to what I said. After that, they stood up and left without a word.
Master saw that his disciple’s xinxing had reached a certain level’s standard, so he removed the tribulation for his disciple.
There have been many more miraculous happenings on my path of cultivation. All of them validate how miraculous Dafa is and how great and benevolent Master is. In Journey to the West, there is a saying, “It is hard to attain a human body, hard to be born in China, and hard to meet the righteous Fa. Whoever attains these three things must have accumulated a lot of good karma.” We are really fortunate to practice Dafa at this very last phase of the world. The only way to pay our gratitude towards Master is to cultivate diligently.
