Aug. 7, 2021 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Peru

(Minghui.org) The Peru Falun Dafa Association held an Art of Zhen, Shan, Ren (Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance) International exhibition in the municipal garden of San Luis, the capital of Lima Province, from July 7 to 24, 2021.

Mayor Mr. David Rojas Maza and Mr. Campos, director of the Municipal Art and Culture Department, attended the opening ceremony. The Mayor cut the ribbon. He viewed the exhibition pieces, guided by a Falun Dafa practitioner, who shared the stories behind the works.

Director of the Art and Culture Department, Mr. Norberto Juan Campos also toured the exhibition. “I congratulate the Peru Falun Dafa Association for hosting the Art of Zhen, Shan, Ren International Exhibition in San Luis, Mr. Campos said. These paintings reveal the social reality of the Chinese people, and the CCP’s [Chinese Communist Party] persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in Mainland China.”

On July 24, after the art exhibit closed, Mayor David Rojas Maza presented an award to the representatives of the Peru Falun Dafa Association, commending them for the extraordinary art and profound culture demonstrated during the exhibition, and the message meant to awaken the visitors.

He said: “On behalf of the San Luis Municipal Government, I commend the Peru Falun Dafa Association. We now know the importance of Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance. On the other hand, I congratulate the Falun Dafa Association for successfully holding a painting exhibition in our city. I, representing the municipal government, expresses its gratitude. Thank you very much!”

Visitors Outraged by the Brutal Persecution

During the 17-day exhibition, many visitors were outraged upon learning of the cruel persecution of Falun Gong that is still happening in China. They were sympathetic to the children who lost their parents in the persecution and were displaced. Many people wrote comments in the guestbook. Some wanted to learn Falun Gong and some wanted to buy Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Gong.

Mayor of San Luis, David Rojas Maza is viewing a painting and listening to the story behind the work.

Viviana Mayono wrote, “Thank you very much for bringing the information to my heart through this exhibition. Every artwork is shocking and moving. I wish China and the world will become better.”

Emiliana commented, “I was very sad because the coronavirus took away the life of my son. I lost my faith in God, too. However, these paintings let me see so many people are persecuted for their faith. My faith in God is awakened again.”

Nilda de Grgicevic and her husband Jorge.

“Every vivid and authentic artwork in the exhibition is impressive,” said Nilda de Grgicevic. “I saw the shining and precious hearts of Falun Gong practitioners.” Her husband Jorge added, “The message conveyed by conscience makes our hearts deeply moved!”

Two sisters from Venezuela, Patricia and Andreina.

“The works of the art exhibition have strong artistic expression,” said Andreina. Her sister, Patricia said, “From the paintings, you can see the cruel persecution suffered by Falun Gong practitioners in China. Energy, power, wisdom, faith, peace and regret. My heart trembles when I view each painting.”
