My Take on Vaccinations

Aug. 6, 2021 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in the U.S.

(Minghui.org) I read a couple of sharing articles on Minghui.org lately regarding what could Falun Dafa practitioners do when they are forced to be vaccinated against Covid-19. It is not a very pleasant topic. The sharing articles mentioned that as long as one is a true cultivating disciple and carry out one’s duty as a Dafa disciple, one will not experience any side effects from the vaccine. I would like to share my two cents about vaccination. I believe whether or not to get a vaccine is a personal choice.

According to the latest statistics in the U.S., about 70% of U.S. adults have received at least one Covid-19 shot and 50% have been fully vaccinated. After more than a year into the pandemic, we all see that the old forces are using the pandemic as an avenue to establish a new social order.

Based on provisional data, the vaccines are given Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) without being fully approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Both Pfizer and Moderna are also granted full immunity from legal actions by patients who suffer side effects.

Recently, we are seeing some extreme trends in the U.S., including mandatory vaccination of healthcare workers, teachers, and employees of private companies in some places. Many face dismissal from work or higher health insurance premiums if they remain unvaccinated.

The growing trend of more and more employers mandating vaccines in the U.S. made me wonder whether this is an important part of the old forces’ plan, particularly when many of the adverse reactions of the vaccine have been documented and posted on VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System).

Under such circumstances, some Falun Dafa practitioners are also forced to receive the vaccine. I believe we may draw some inspiration from Chapter VII of the US Federal Civil Rights Act, which clearly stipulates that employers must make reasonable accommodations for employees’ religious beliefs. Therefore, when employers in the U.S. implement compulsory vaccination policies, they usually provide employees with the opportunity to apply for religious exemptions.

I’m not a lawyer and I do not know how the religious exemption application and approval process works. But I feel that using the rights granted to us by this law to clarify the truth may be a way out. I also know there have been cases of people of faith successfully receiving religious exemption to avoid getting the shots.

When Dafa disciples are forced to take the vaccine, we should ask ourselves whether the situation has anything to do with us and our human hearts. If there are any side effects, I think it’s Master who is bearing it for us.

On the other hand, when we are asked to take the vaccine, we can turn it into a good opportunity to tell people more about the healing power of Dafa.

Fa-rectification is coming to an end, and the path of cultivation is getting narrower and narrower. I sincerely hope that everyone will take the Fa as teacher and walk every step well on the last leg of our journey.

This is my understanding at my level; please kindly point out any shortcomings.
