There is Nothing to Fear

July 7, 2021 |   By a young Falun Dafa practitioner

(Minghui.org) I am a young Falun Dafa practitioner. My parents began to practice Dafa when I was little. While I was in the first grade, police officers came to our home to conduct an illegal search and took my parents away.

After my parents were illegally detained, I lived with my grandmother. The police frequently came at night, knocking loudly and shining a flashlight in the windows. It scared me terribly. As I grew older, I easily got scared if anyone knocked on the door at night.

When I saw police officers at work, I got scared even if I knew their visit had nothing to do with me. I realized I had a strong attachment to fear that I was unable to control. I felt bad about this!

I looked within. Why was I so afraid? I knew my childhood experience lingered and caused fear; part of me thought it was a normal reaction. But another part of me reminded myself that I am a Dafa practitioner and have Master Li's (Dafa’s founder) protection. I needed to let go of this fear. Realizing this, I felt I had eliminated the fear.

With the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP's) recent “Zero-Out” harassment campaign, I knew that I should send righteous thoughts, but a sense of fear emerged, and I started to feel uncomfortable again. I asked myself “Who should be afraid? Why am I afraid? I am a Dafa practitioner, and I can eliminate the evil. If I do that, I will not be afraid.”

I realized this internal fear was a battle between the evil and me. It was actually the evil that is scared. They are scared of the righteous thoughts I sent because I can eradicate them. Righteous thoughts made me feel that I was big and tall. The stronger my righteous thoughts were, the more fear the evil had.

During the “Zero-Out” campaign, many practitioners also developed fear, even though they were sending righteous thoughts.

But this fear is not you! It is not you who are afraid of the evil. It is the evil that is afraid of you because your righteous thoughts can eliminate them.

As soon as you change your thoughts, you are out of the circle of fear. You have changed from being passive to being active. You will then be able to take the initiative to destroy the evil. This is the power of righteous thoughts.
