(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in Croatia held activities in the popular tourist destination city of Pula during July 2021. 

Practitioners set up an information booth near the Pula city center to inform people about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Their bright yellow marquee with a large white banner bore the message “stop persecuting Falun Gong” and “stop forced organ harvesting by the CCP.” Practitioners displayed brochures in many languages on the table at the booth to cater to tourists. They also demonstrated the exercises and gave out information.

Many people stopped in their tracks when they saw the words “Stop forced organ harvesting by the CCP” and would ask to know more. Practitioners told people about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution that has continued in China for 22 years. 

A young man from the Czech Republic told practitioners that he was on a vacation in Pula with some coworkers. He took a brochure and sat nearby to read it. He then walked back over to practitioners to get more information. He said he had lived in Shanghai and felt there was no freedom of speech in China. He had learned about Falun Gong when he was in the Czech Republic, and he had attempted to tell his friends in China about the practice over the phone. Sadly, his friends had been deceived by the communist regime’s propaganda against Falun Gong and urged him not to get involved. 

After encountering practitioners in Pula, he was grateful to get more information about the practice and the CCP’s crimes against humanity. He asked what he could do to help. Practitioners suggested he could tell more people about the persecution.

Practitioners talk to people about the persecution in China

Two women accepted brochures from practitioners and started reading them. A practitioner explained the principles of the practice to them, and one of them said excitedly: “It’s wonderful that you came here. People here need this type of spiritual guidance at the moment. We are very grateful.”

A brother and sister read a brochure and then asked, “Why is the Chinese government persecuting people who believe in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance?” A practitioner explained how Falun Gong’s popularity led the communist regime to target the group for persecution and how severe the persecution has been. They thanked the practitioner and said they hoped the persecution would end soon. They each took a paper lotus flower and took a photo with the practitioner.
