(Minghui.org) On July 24, 2021, Falun Dafa practitioners held a truth-clarifying activity in Bamberg in southern Germany. They demonstrated the exercises, handed out information, told people about Falun Dafa and how the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) persecutes it, and collected signatures on a petition to end the persecution. Many local residents and tourists signed the petition.

One of Germany’s oldest cities, Bamberg is a popular tourist destination. Because this large medieval city did not suffer much damage during the two world wars, in 1993 it was chosen by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) as a World Cultural Heritage Site. As pandemic restrictions in Germany eased, the city opened up to welcome visitors again.

Practitioners set up an information booth and a large informational kiosk near the Neptune Fountain (Gabelmann) located near the city center. Their displays and exercise demonstration attracted many people.

On weekends, the pedestrian street is bustling with activities. The weekend market is held every Saturday morning. The street is also lined with many popular stores, and the medieval buildings and other tourist attractions draw many visitors. Many who passed by the practitioners’ information booth learned about the CCP’s 22-year-long persecution that targets Falun Dafa practitioners.

A teenager from Poland noticed practitioners demonstrating the exercises and asked about Falun Dafa. He learned that it was rooted in Buddhist traditions, was interested in learning more, and took some information. He stepped away to read but returned as practitioners were doing the third exercise, Penetrating the Cosmic Extremes. He started to learn the exercise by imitating the practitioners’ movements. One practitioner noticed and carefully demonstrated the exercise for the young man, who paid close attention.

An elderly man who had brought his grandson to visit the city center stopped and chatted with a practitioner for a very long time before signing both petitions. The man said he was a theological researcher and knew a great deal about moral principles. He said that he had published many articles on his own website and is always on the lookout for people with good moral values. He was very interested in Falun Dafa, which is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

A young man stopped and took several photos with his mobile phone. He photographed all the words on the booth and information kiosk and said that he knew a lot about how terrible the CCP is. He also knew that communism has already infiltrated the West. However, he had never heard of Falun Dafa before. After briefly chatting with a practitioner, he signed the petition.

As soon as two men saw the big banners “Say No to the CCP” they stopped to talk to practitioners. One said he was very interested in the topic of the CCP’s persecution of human rights and asked for some information. He said that although he knew how evil the CCP is, he was shocked to learn of the live organ harvesting. Both men signed the petition and thanked practitioners for telling them about it.

A practitioner explained that signing the petition meant one was in favor of boycotting the CCP regime, not the Chinese people. He agreed, “That’s right! We are boycotting the communist regime but we are not against the Chinese people!”
