(Minghui.org) Following the Chinese Communist Party’s policy to persecute Falun Gong, the government of Mayong Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, set up a brainwashing base in Huayang Lake Wetland Park and held a series of exhibitions in the communities, school campuses, and companies in 14 villages throughout the town, with content that defames Falun Gong.
Huayang Lake Wetland Park is located in the west side of Mayong Town. While the 80-acre Banana International Exhibition inside the park was an entertainment and leisure center for the local residents, the Dongguan City Political and Legal Affairs Committee spent four months to convert it into a brainwashing base, and an inauguration ceremony was held on December 18, 2020.
In the persecution of Falun Gong, the Political and Legal Affairs Committee (PLAC), an extra-judiciary agency overseeing the public security and judicial branches, has been the master-mind in making and executing persecution policies.
