(Minghui.org) When the CCP virus pandemic spread throughout the world in early 2020, I realized the time left for us to cultivate and save sentient beings has become rather short.
Our local practitioners remained solid and were not affected by the external changes. We studied the Fa, did the exercises, and sent forth righteous thoughts as usual. We clarified the truth about Dafa to people, and every practitioner did the three things diligently.
One day I met a man in his 70s in a village market, which was nearly 20 miles from my home. He knew that Falun Dafa is good and had withdrawn his membership in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) with the help of another practitioner.
He said that he wanted to read Zhuan Falun. I told him that I would bring a copy for him when I visited the market the next time. He felt happy and thanked me. I asked him to thank our Master instead. He told me why he wanted to read Zhuan Falun and shared his story with me.
One day the tire of his tricycle became flat when he was in a remote area. He and his wife were unable to move his tricycle. While they were worrying, a young man passed by. He helped them push the tricycle until they reached the young man’s home. The young man pumped air into the tire and gave the pump to them in case they needed it before reaching their home.
He and his wife were very moved. The young man said, “My wife and I practice Falun Dafa. Our Master asks us to think of other people's needs first at all times. Any practitioner would do what I did.”
He said: “The young man told me about Falun Dafa and helped us withdraw from the CCP. That is why I want to know what Zhuan Falun is telling people. It is such a good practice, but why does the government not allow people to practice it?”
When I arrived at the market the following week. He was already there. I gave him a copy of Zhuan Falun and said, “You’d better read this book in one go. This is not an ordinary book. It is about cultivation and is a priceless book.”
I told him how the CCP didn’t allow people to practice their faith, how our Dafa books were not allowed to be published, and how the communist regime staged the Tiananmen self-immolation hoax to incite hatred against Falun Dafa. I said, “Every practitioner has faced persecution in the past twenty-plus years. This book is very precious to us practitioners.”
“I will treasure it,” he said. “Give me 10 days. I will call you in 10 days. To keep ourselves safe, I will give you my phone number.”
I called him after 10 days. He asked me to pick up the book. I brought a calendar and some brochures with Dafa information on the following market day. He looked great. He said, “Zhuan Falun is a very good book. It teaches people to be good.”
“Yes, it’s true,” I replied. “Whoever reads it will benefit.”
“Yes, it is very good and very righteous. But the standard is too high. I am a bit selfish. I am afraid I cannot reach that standard,” he said.
I gave him the calendar and the brochures and told him that the stories detailed in the brochure were true.
He asked who paid for the cost of the materials. I told him that practitioners made the materials and paid for them out of their own pockets. “Master told us the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and asked us to let people know the truth during the pandemic so that they could be protected and be safe. If you are safe, we practitioners are happy.”
“Indeed I thank Dafa's Master and practitioners. Dafa's Master is so great. He has taught so many good disciples. You are marvelous. Where can I find such good people as you?”
I had a vivid dream that night. I saw a big flood coming towards me. I stood on the big wave and shouted: ‘The big flood is coming. Please say ‘Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” One man came and said loudly, “I know you. You helped me withdraw from the CCP. Can you please give me an amulet? It is for my wife.”
His wife brought a group of people with her. I asked them to recite “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’’ so they did it loudly. With their recitation, the flood started to recede. I found a man was buried partially in a ditch and covered in mud. He was motionless. I shouted the two phrases at him and saw him start to move.
I woke up frightened. I was sweating. I woke up my husband and told him my dream. I said, “I’ve gotten lazy recently. I didn’t get up to send righteous thoughts at night. I sleep when it is time to do the exercises. In my dream the big flood came, and the sentient beings in my world almost drowned. Master saved us. Master is awakening me, telling me not to relax, to save sentient beings, and to do the three things well.”
Master has paved the path for us. When I let go of my attachments while clarifying the truth to people, Master arranges for me to tell predestined people about Dafa.
I will do better in the future. I will cultivate myself, live up to the expectations of sentient beings, and be worthy of Master’s compassion.
