(Minghui.org) I recently had headaches and felt tired when studying the Fa. I thought about it, and realized that it was actually the acquired notions, thought karma, attachments, bad thoughts, and external interference being eliminated, that felt the pain. They are all false selves that were formed postnatally, not part of my life, and not part of my true self. Because they were formed in the brain of my body when they are in pain, the pain gets reflected in my brain; then my body will respond, and I will feel a headache and discomfort. In fact, it is those postnatally acquired substances that feel pain and fatigue.
Dafa is compassionate, and it is my main consciousness that is studying the Fa. Therefore the Fa study should be relaxing, comfortable, and wonderful. So why do those acquired things get fatigued and have headaches when I study the Fa? It is because the Fa is eliminating them. They want to stop me from studying the Fa, so they struggle and want to make me feel tired and pained. But they can’t stop me, because studying the Fa is what I must do, and is the guarantee that I do everything well. The more pain there is, the faster they are being destroyed. So I distinguished that it is not the real me hurting, it is those acquired things that are hurting, it is the false me that is hurting. When they are all destroyed, there will be no more pain.
It is just like when one’s body feels pain and discomfort when karma is being eliminated. If one can endure it at that time, the karma will be eliminated, and the test will be passed.
Therefore, the discomfort and pain of a cultivator is not an illness, but the elimination of karma. We must be clear about this. The main consciousness must be sober in order to deny and eliminate all such false selves.
The above is my current understanding. Please kindly point out anything inappropriate.
