(Minghui.org) I’m a Falun Dafa practitioner from northeastern China. We live in a large agricultural county of over a million people.
At the beginning of 2020, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) virus quickly spread across the nation. Our area had many confirmed cases and was soon locked down.
When the pandemic started, I realized the urgency of helping people learn the truth about Falun Dafa. The Fa rectification has come to the last stage, and the time for us to cultivate is running out.
During the lockdown, although we didn’t stop clarifying the truth to people, we could only do it in a limited time frame and in certain areas.
When the restrictions in our area were lifted, I planned to use the time well to give out truth-clarification materials and let more people know about the persecution. With the help of other practitioners, we distributed pamphlets throughout our town.
During spring plowing, we go to the mountain to farm. I had farming experience, but due to how difficult it was to travel in the mountainous area, I learned to ride a motorcycle.
In recent years, my motorcycle allowed me to commute to rural areas to tell people the truth about Falun Dafa. Other practitioners often asked me for rides, so I would go anywhere I was needed.
In the beginning of May, an elderly practitioner couple who farmed on the mountain called and invited me to come to their place to clarify the truth [in their community] with them.
My home is a truth-clarification material production site. A few days later, I carried 680 pamphlets to the mountain; it took me 90 minutes.
May is the busiest time for spring farming. The couple worked their farmland during the day, while at night, the three of us went to a village about 15 kilometers away.
There were about 200 families in this village, and the man distributed materials from south to north on his bicycle; I rode my motorcycle carrying the female practitioner and started to distribute from the village entrance to the south.
We asked her husband to travel a lesser distance because he rode a bicycle and he would be slower than us. After we finished the area from the entrance to the south, we went back to the entrance and finished the north side that the man had not yet covered.
We sent forth righteous thoughts as we gave out the pamphlets. The next night, the wife and I went to a village where she used to live, about 50 kilometers away.
We carried more than 200 pamphlets. She was over 70 and couldn’t remember all the roads, so we had to stay together.
After we distributed everything, it was midnight by the time we got home.
I spent three days traveling to the mountain area, about 300 kilometers round trip. Because the roads were rough, in addition to the fact that my motorcycle was old, the trip tired me out, so I rested for four days after returning home.
To facilitate letting more people know the truth about Falun Dafa, I bought a better second-hand motorcycle with better fuel efficiency. It goes faster and is more comfortable to ride.
The practitioners in the neighboring village asked if I could come distribute materials in their area. I spent six days there.
There were no other practitioners around who could work with me. I thought, “Even if it was only me, I should not wait for anyone else; I can do it by myself!”
When I entered narrow alleys, I used one hand to steer the motorcycle and the other to hand out the brochures. If no one was at the entrance, I tossed the brochure into the yard.
If someone was at the entrance, I handed the materials to them. Sometimes there were adults chatting by the side of the road, and I would get off the motorcycle, hand them a brochure, and clarify the truth to them.
Some would take what I was giving out and immediately start to read it. I would tell them not to throw it away after they’d finished, that they should pass it along to their friends and family.
When I asked them if they’d heard about quitting the CCP, they often said they had not. I would then tell them the truth about Falun Dafa, and they would listen attentively and accept what I said.
The adults would quit the Party and their children would quit the Young Pioneers and the Youth League.
Sometimes I would walk into their yards to chat. Normally, villagers would quit the Party using their real names.
I once met a middle-aged man, gave him a booklet, then asked him if he’d ever worn a red scarf at school. He said he had not. I told him, “Please remember ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ That way, you will be immune from the pandemic and live safely.” He thanked me.
I encountered two men sitting outside a door. I clarified the truth to them and asked if they’d ever worn a red scarf at school. They also said they had not. I also told them to remember “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
Just then, another villager came up and said, “Hurry! There are government officials doing a pandemic survey. If they see you, you will be in trouble.”
I thanked him and said, “You will be blessed. Please pass along these booklets. Knowing the truth can keep you safe!”
That day, I went to four villages and helped 13 people withdraw from the CCP. I spent a total of four days in the rural area by myself, and two days in a remote mountain area.
Some villagers asked, “Did you make the trip especially to give us the materials?”I responded, “Yes, please tell your family members and friends to sincerely recite 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ and you can stay safe.”
Master Li said,
“Right now every minute and every second is crucial. If you miss out during this period of time, you miss out on everything. History won't recur. The history of the cosmos and the Three Realms have gone through so many, long, long years--what have all the beings been waiting for? What are they all here for? For exactly these few years!” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference”)
On one motorcycle, another practitioner and I have gone throughout our city and distributed more than 20,000 copies of materials. I was amazed that we could do that much!
Thinking about how we managed to do that, I believe it is because of our righteous thoughts. The first two times, I rode over a hundred kilometers, and I still made more pamphlets after returning home.
Other trips also involved riding over 50 kilometers. From the beginning, I felt really tired. But after I broke through that human notion, I no longer felt hardship and fatigue. The other practitioners are like mirrors, which reflected many of my shortfalls.
Two other practitioners worked with me. Ming is quiet and works things steadily; while Nan does things quickly and can distribute more in less time.
After I worked with Nan a few times, I could feel that Ming was too slow when I worked with her again. Once I shared with Ming how I thought she should catch up with the speed for distribution.
After she offered an explanation, my tone became terse. Then I immediately realized I was not right.
I knew I needed to be compassionate towards other practitioners. During the course of working with others, I found that I had many of the same shortcomings they did.
Cultivation is not doing a job, but we can get rid of our attachments through the process. Those attachments serve as obstacles in our cultivation.
If I cannot get rid of them, don't I just validate myself? I should look at the positive sides of other practitioners and use their manifested shortcomings to look inward and cultivate myself.
Although I had some conflicts with the other practitioners, we could still work well together and return home safely every time we went out. I would love to work with them more, form one body, take the responsibility to help people learn the truth, and live up to Master’s compassionate salvation!
