(Minghui.org) To raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) that has lasted for over two decades, practitioners in Perth held activities at the Murray Street Mall on April 3 and 17, 2021.
From afar, people could see the banners that said: “Can You Remain Silent While Organ Harvesting Goes On?” and “Peaceful Falun Gong Practitioners are Killed to Supply Organs for China's Transplant Industry.” As they neared the information booth, they could hear the peaceful exercise music and see practitioners demonstrating the five graceful exercises. Some stopped to watch, while others took brochures and listened to practitioners explain what’s happening in China. Several people signed the petition hoping to end this terrible violation of human rights.

Ethan thinks countries throughout the world should unite to say no to the CCP.
Ethan said he learned on the Internet how the regime is killing practitioners for their organs. He said people should stop the CCP. He is aware that the regime monitors people and throws them in jail if they have differing views. “I think that is terrible. I don’t understand why the Chinese government would persecute its own citizens. That is stupid and must end. One day, the Party will be punished for doing such bad things. Countries around the world should unite and say no to the regime in economic trade,” he said.
He also feels that the Australian government should impose more restrictions on Chinese officials coming to Australia. He said, “I think the CCP has already infiltrated Australia’s political circles. It attempts to lure politicians with money and influence certain policies. We should come up with ways to stop them from doing as they please.”
He agrees with the principles taught by Falun Gong—Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. He said, “I love these principles. They are very beneficial to our lives. The world would be a much better place if people followed these principles.”
Richard, an engineer, stopped at the information booth to learn about the practice. He was sad to hear about the persecution and told practitioners he had friends from Hong Kong and Xinjiang. He is aware the regime is persecuting kind people and said the National Security Act passed in Hong Kong has made things difficult for Hong Kong students. He also knew about the three million Uyghurs in concentration camps. He said, “The CCP is suppressing people. I hope people with a sense of conscience will come together to end these atrocities.”
Richard understands that there is a distinction between China and the CCP. He encourages those who have been persecuted to talk about their experience internationally. He calls on those with power in international politics and the world economy to exert pressure on the regime to help end the persecution.
Gavan (left) said he was very sad to hear about the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Gavan, a data analyst, told practitioners he felt terrible after learning about the persecution of practitioners in China. He said, “I think this shouldn’t happen. I feel that it’s best that Australia does not trade with China. This persecution is just like the Jews being massacred by the Nazis during World War II.”
He also said he is very interested in researching different religions. He said, “I like to meditate and think about reincarnation. I've heard of Falun Dafa—I learned about the persecution in China from my finance manager James Richards. James wrote many books about accounting systems and mentioned what is happening in China in his books.”
