(Minghui.org) It’s recently confirmed by Minghui.org that a Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province resident was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison in early November 2020 for her faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Zhang Guiling, around 60, was reported in February 2020 for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Officers from the Shuixiu Police Station ransacked her home and confiscated her computer, printer, flash-drive, and Falun Gong books. Due to the pandemic, the police put Ms. Zhang under house arrest and installed three surveillance cameras at her home.

The police arrested Ms. Zhang on August 24, 2020, and held her at the Jinzhong City Detention Center. The Taigu District Court sentenced her to 1.5 years in early November 2020. She has been taken to Jinzhong City Women’s Prison.
