Missouri Senate and House Resolutions Honor World Falun Dafa Day

(Minghui.org) May 13, 2021 is the 22nd World Falun Dafa Day and the 29th anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction. Missouri's Senate and House of Representatives issued resolutions to congratulate World Falun Dafa Day. 

The Senate resolution was initiated by Senator Bob Onder. The resolution reads, “Many people who practice Falun Dafa find it to be life-changing, and experience dramatic health benefits as well as newfound energy, mental clarity, and stress relief.

“Many people have looked at online meditation practices while at home during the coronavirus pandemic and found that the exercises of Falun Dafa brought them peace and healing during these trying times.”

Resolution from Senate of the State of Missouri

The resolution from the House of Representatives was sponsored by State Representative Bruce DeGroot, and co-sponsored by Rep. Jason Chipman, Rep. Derek Grier, Rep. Doug Clemens, and Rep. Richard Brown. 

The resolution reads, “Volunteers in Missouri have been actively involved in the community, providing Falun Dafa exercise instruction and cultural awareness at numerous community events. 

“With the coronavirus pandemic ravaging the world for over a year, the meditative exercise of Falun Dafa and its health benefits offers an effective option to those seeking peace and healing in these trying times.”

Background: What is Falun Dafa?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people have embraced the teachings—which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance as well as five gentle exercises—and experienced uplifted health and well-being.
