Senior Chinese Officials Quit the Chinese Communist Party (Part 2)

(Minghui.org) Part 1: Senior Officers Quit the Chinese Communist Party

As the persecution of Falun Gong in China enters its 22nd year, Falun Gong practitioners around the world have worked tirelessly to call attention to the atrocities taking place against this peaceful mind-body cultivation practice. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has conducted a smear campaign for over two decades to mislead its citizens about Falun Gong and foster an environment where such a persecution can take place. To help dispel the lies and slander, Falun Gong practitioners in North America have been calling people in China to help them understand the practice of Falun Gong and how the CCP has persecuted Falun Gong practitioners and other innocent citizens. This work is vitally important, as, due to the CCP’s internet blockade, it is very difficult for people on the mainland to obtain true, uncensored information. Since the beginning of 2021, practitioners have intensified their efforts to reach more people in China.

Many who receive the calls have expressed gratitude to practitioners for sharing information that they were not aware of. Some were happy to renounce their membership in the CCP and its junior organizations, the Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers. A number of people said they had already quit these organizations.

In this article, we present three such stories.

Senior Official in Henan Province: Many People Around Me Have Quit the CCP

A senior official in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province said that many officials around him had gradually learned that the persecution of Falun Gong lacked legal basis. “Some of them are clearer on this than me,” he added. “As officials, they all had vested interest in the CCP. But as far as I know, some have awakened and quit the Party.” Through his influence, the official has also helped several others to sever ties with the CCP.

The official noted that nowadays people are more concerned about themselves and their families than the Party. “Who would sacrifice for the so-called Party?” he wondered, “Plus, this is a regime that does not care about people. Better to avoid it than go down with it.”

He acknowledged that there is still a long way to go, and he wished practitioners well. “We have to do this for our nation and the future generations, so that people will have freedom and justice,” he explained.

Official in Shanghai: Awakening People One by One

One elderly official in Shanghai was happy to receive the phone call from a practitioner. He had heard about quitting the CCP and had already done so more than 10 years ago. He had also circumvented the internet blockade to access overseas news. He said he also knew to recite the phrases of “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”

“From time to time, I share information from The Epoch Times on social media,” he added, “but I cannot do it too often; otherwise, the authorities may block my account or summon me to meet with state security officials. I hope the CCP will end soon.”

Among the 1.4 billion Chinese people, not many people have been able to break away from the CCP's brainwashing, the official noted. He said sometimes people argue over these topics with their family members. “But no matter what other people say, I know this is important so I post the information on social media to awaken people one by one,” he said, adding that he knows that those who follow their conscience are blessed by the divine.

The official remarked that being a good person is not easy and noted that many officials are very corrupt. To make things worse, he said, they have been brainwashed and do not want to listen. “Even my son has not quit the CCP yet,” he lamented. “He does not like the Party, but he said he does not want to get into trouble either.”

The practitioner suggested that he explain to his son that quitting the CCP from one’s heart does not affect one’s work. Plus, one can quit with a pseudonym because the divine evaluates a person based on his or her heart. The official thanked the practitioner and said he'd follow the advice when he talked to his son again about quitting the CCP.

Official in Beijing: The CCP Is No Different from the Nazis

An official in Beijing said that he is not a CCP member. “I never liked the Party in the first place, so it is impossible for me to join it,” he explained. He did join the Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers at a young age, but quit both about 10 years ago.

The official said he did not agree with the CCP’s religious persecution either. One example was his disdain for the staged self-immolation incident that defamed Falun Gong. "Ever since hearing about it on the news for the first time, I knew the story had loopholes. There is a lot of evidence that it was a setup, just slanderous propaganda,” he explained.

He is sympathetic to victims of religious persecution such as Falun Gong practitioners. “Sometimes people feel powerless, because it [the CCP] is like a machine that controls everything. It is very ruthless and no different from the Nazis,” he continued.

The official said that Falun Gong is good because it tells one how to be a better citizen. “Some people have been misled because they do not know that almost everything that comes out the CCP propaganda machine is lies,” he said. “We hope things will clear up as more people awaken.”

He shared that one of his relatives was also targeted by the CCP for practicing Falun Gong. “He was jailed for several years and lost his job as a government official,” the official explained. “Nonetheless, that relative did not give up his faith,” he said, adding that he admires that relative as well as other Falun Gong practitioners.
