(Minghui.org) In July 2020, Mr. Wang and his wife, both professors at a college in south China, publicly withdrew from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), something they had been considering for a long time.
Fearing retaliation if they submitted the withdrawal request to their workplace, the couple made the announcement on the Global Tuidang (Quitting the Party) Website. They said that “If we didn't [quit the Party], we would really feel awful, just like taking a sip of soup and discovering there was a fly floating in it. Therefore, we want to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party organization that we once joined when we were brainwashed and in a confused state of mind.”
Like Mr. Wang and his wife, many Chinese who have once joined the CCP are now eager to find channels to sever ties with it. Many of them were disgusted to have discovered the glorious history that they had learned about the CCP was all false and some were shocked to learn about the ongoing brutal persecution against Falun Gong, one of the largest political campaigns targeting nearly one-tenth of the Chinese population. To date, nearly 376 million Chinese have taken the brave stand to break away from the CCP and many more are joining them daily.
A retired coal miner who was once in the military, who had been a CCP member for 40 years, said in his withdrawal statement that the CCP would not last long since it did nothing but bad deeds. It would be reckoned with soon. He did not want his children and grandchildren to be implicated with it, so he did his withdrawal when he retired from his job.
Below is a collection of people’s public statements when they quit the CCP.
Mr. Wen Changsu of Beijing on May 8, 2020, said in a statement on the Tuidang website, “I am a historian who has helped veterans of the Kuomintang and several senior generals to fight for their dignity and livelihood. These national heroes were class enemies in the eyes of the Chinese Communist Party and lived at the bottom of society.
“I want to awaken people today by recalling history, but under the rule of the CCP, it is impossible to show modern history in its true light. I feel that I can do very little. Now that I think about it, perhaps the one who should be awakened most is myself.
“It will be June 4 [anniversary of the 1989 Tiananmen Massacre of students protesting for democracy] again soon. Thirty-one years have passed since then and my son is now a father himself. On June 4, 1989, I was there and saw with my own eyes the soldiers with loaded guns. My son often asked about my view regarding June 4. It was hard to open my mouth. I was his age back then and just had him. I was once enthusiastic but eventually, I chose to be silent. I don't want my son to be as sorry as I am when he reaches my age, and I don't want my grandson to continue to live in this dysfunctional society that is brainwashed and has no freedom of speech.
“I recently read the truth about Falun Gong and learned how cruel and unscrupulous the CCP's persecution of different ideologies is. The unyielding and nonviolent resistance of Falun Gong practitioners touched me greatly. I was deceived by the propaganda and have been biased against them before and want to apologize to them.
“This coronavirus pandemic also showed me the apocalyptic madness of the CCP -- lies and concealment, using a national tragedy to make a profit, shifting responsibility and dumping accusations, and cursing the media. It’s very much like the historical ‘final soundtrack’ of the demise of a dynasty.
“For the sake of myself and my son and grandson, I completely abandon my illusions about the CCP and withdraw from it and related organizations. History, the people, and even the whole world will judge the CCP. I hope to contribute my power to correct the history distorted by the CCP and return the truth to future generations during my lifetime.”
Yu Zhu of Liaoning Province said on March 23, 2020, that the atheism education he received from an early age had a profound influence and he believed in the CCP with all his heart. He believed the propaganda and resented Falun Gong and even reported one practitioner to the police in the past. When he became ill, he learned from a Falun Gong practitioner that reciting the auspicious phrases “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good,” would help him.
With skepticism, he gave it a try and was glad to see that his illness was gone! He was deeply grateful to Falun Gong and its founder.
He began to look into information about Falun Gong. He was deeply shocked and stunned that a huge country can be so absurd as to frame such a good practice. The evil CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong poisoned 1.4 billion people. He declared his withdrawal from the CCP and vowed to be a dignified person by following Falun Gong’s principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.”
A man in his 80s published his statement on July 19, 2020, saying that “I have been brainwashed by the CCP since childhood. I considered joining the CCP's Young Pioneers, the CCP's Youth League, and the CCP itself as the three major goals in life and fought for them. After the onset of the Cultural Revolution, I was confused, scared, and shocked by the madness of the country and the atrocity of treating human lives as if they were nothing. I could no longer go along with the madness. I became a counter-revolutionary overnight and was persecuted for thirteen years. I clearly see that the CCP says all the good things and does all the bad things. The people are not allowed to think independently and speak the truth, and they are regarded as slaves and enemies. The CCP is truly a demon.
“When I was rehabilitated in 1980, some cadres asked me if I intended to return to the CCP organization, but I flatly refused. When I read about how the CCP handled disasters such as viruses, floods, and earthquakes, completely ignoring people's livelihoods and still trying to make a profit for themselves, I was angry and prayed every day that God would quickly take out this evil. Now that nearly 360 million people have withdrawn from the Communist Party, I have decided to take my own action and contribute to the movement to purge the CCP. As an old man approaching 80 years old, my greatest wish is to see the destruction of the CCP with my own eyes.”
Zhou Zhengyi, a college teacher in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province stated in his withdrawal statement on January 7, 2021, that he had several friends who practice Falun Gong and are very kind and genuine people. Falun Gong, which teaches people to be good, is the righteous way. On the contrary, when good people join the CCP and become its officials, they are gradually corrupted.
“From the Standing Committee of the Central Political Bureau to the general cadres, all officials are corrupt. It is a cult that turns people from good to bad. I declare to quit the CCP and related organizations.” Zhou said.
Adai, of Huaishui from Henan Province, stated on July 20, 2020, in the withdrawal statement for her and her husband: “My husband and I were both absorbed into the Party because of our outstanding academic performance during our college years. We worked in political education after graduation. The reality of what we hear and see, as well as the information we get from multiple sources, made us more and more disgusted with the CCP's scourge of the country and the people, yet sadly, we are still whitewashing the CCP every day, to make a living.”
“But I have also tried to share with my students the uncensored news that I read by overcoming the internet blockade. As a result, I have also been reported by students and warned by my superiors.
“In recent years, surveillance cameras have been installed in school classrooms, and teachers’ words and deeds have become more tightly controlled. It became more and more difficult to speak the truth in the classroom, and many times I had to say something against my will or even disgusting, yet inside I became more resistant to the party and more dissatisfied with what I was doing.
“Over the last two years, we both felt miserable. We had no motivation at work, only to go with the flow. We could not find any direction in life. If God exists, people like us who are awakened but still go along with the evil, the outcome is going to be bad. For peace of mind, we declare the withdrawal from this evil CCP forever.”
Wang Yanmei, a vocational high school teacher in Zhejiang Province, said in her statement when she did her “three withdrawals” on May 16, 2020: “I witnessed the growth of Falun Gong practitioners in my hometown in 1996. The CCP began persecuting Falun Gong in 1999. I was deceived by its propaganda. Over the years, I woke up. I no longer believe the CCP's lies. I’m particularly sick of its brainwashing of its citizens, especially young students.
“The CCP leader’s unlimited expansion of power has led to the persecution of Christians, Buddhists, and dissidents around me. They brutally suppressed them and even their children. The CCP even requires me to regularly report on the ideological status of the students in my class and asked me to brainwash the students and educate students for the Party. Doesn’t this fit the definition of a cult?
“During this pandemic, what the CCP has done has completely awakened me. I hereby announce my withdrawal from the CCP and related organizations. I completely disassociate myself from this cult.”
Qi Zhi, a middle school principal in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, stated on December 29, 2020: “I once went to the city of Zhengzhou in Henan Province for a meeting. The locals were talking about the great famine back then. In 1958, during the Great Leap Forward campaign, the country misrepresented steel production and grain production, rural laborers went to the great iron and steel making, grain rotted in the ground and no one collected it. In 1959, the forced collection of public grain plundered farmers' rations, seeds, and livestock feed, the most serious in the two provinces of Henan and Anhui, and this is how the tragedy of starvation occurred. More than tens of millions of peasants have starved to death across the country! One hundred percent of man-made disasters are falsely called natural disasters to cover up their evil.”
Qi added that, “During the persecution of Falun Gong, there were two teachers in our school who practiced Falun Gong and were the backbone of the school's teaching staff. When the police came to the school to arrest them, I could not bear to see good people being persecuted innocently, so I told the two teachers to go as far away as possible. Now that I am retired, and looking back on the violent and evil acts of the CCP, I solemnly declare my withdrawal from the Chinese Communist Party and its related organization.”
Mr. Ma Zhengyi, also from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, withdrew from the CCP on December 25, 2020. He said that a friend of his who had a bulging disc and severe back pain recovered after practicing Falun Gong. He also learned the Tiananmen Self-Immolation was a hoax and it was staged by the CCP to frame Falun Gong.
Mr. Ma said this reminded him of what his father had told him. When the communist army ran out of food in the civil war, they changed into a Kuomintang’s uniform at night to rob the food and frame the Kuomintang. The CCP started with lies and atrocities, and now it is relying on lies to maintain tyranny.
“I declare to quit the Chinese Communist Party and related organizations and draw a clear line with the tyrannical and evil party to have a bright future.” Mr. Ma said.
Sui Yuan, a resident of Henan Province, stated on November 15, 2020, that “I knew the evil nature of the CCP since childhood. My aunt was targeted in planned parenthood. They killed her baby and almost killed my aunt. She had severe complications and was in a coma. When the villagers surrounded the birth control office to seek justice, they called the police to arrest them. It was awful.
“I knew how evil the CCP is from the very beginning, but I was still sick to my stomach when I learned about the CCP’s harvesting of organs from Falun Gong practitioners, Tibetans, and Uyghurs. A total of 80 million people have been killed by the CCP. The Chinese Communist regime will not last long! Don’t be upset by how rampant the CCP is today, the reckoning day is coming! I hereby solemnly declare my withdrawal from the CCP and its related organizations!”
