(Minghui.org) Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline with slow, gentle exercises. It has become well-known for the miraculous stories that its practitioners, and those who believe in Falun Gong, have experienced. Below are two of many such stories.
In 2008, while on her way to visit her daughter who was detained for practicing Falun Gong, a practitioner came across a couple who were going to the hospital.
The wife, a Ms. Ruan, had suffered from uremia for over two years. She had both her kidneys removed and had to rely on dialysis to stay alive. Since her body could no longer expel toxins on its own, her complexion was purplish black. She was weak and had difficulty breathing.
Ms. Ruan's husband, Mr. Bao, did not have any hope that his wife would survive her condition. This trip to the hospital was a last-ditch attempt to get her treated, even though the couple was aware that Ms. Ruan might die in the hospital.
“Your wife will have a chance to live as long as your families sincerely recites ‘Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’” the practitioner told Mr. Bao. She also gave them a Dafa amulet.
The couple happily accepted the amulet and started to recite the phrases as they walked toward the hospital.
A few days later, Mr. Bao found this practitioner. He said, “My wife's health is getting better every day. Thank you so much for the amulet. When we went to the hospital that day, I didn't expect she would come back alive. I thought that I might have gone home with her ashes.”
He added, “Since you have these Dafa amulets, you surely must have the Dafa teachings. Can I have a copy? My wife is illiterate, but I can read to her.”
This practitioner gave him a copy of Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Dafa. Over time, Ms. Ruan regained her health. Many local people have talked about her story. In their village, several people have also suffered from the same disease. Those people only lasted two to three years at most. Ms. Ruan was the only one who survived the ailment.
One year later, the couple went back to the hospital for another checkup. The doctor was surprised. He asked, “How are you still alive? Other patients have died once their toxin levels reached 700. Your toxin levels were over 1000, and you are still alive.”
The couple knew from their hearts that Master Li, the founder of Falun Dafa, saved Ms. Ruan's life. Since then, they've had strong faith in Dafa, especially Ms. Ruan.
Both husband and wife have been healthy since.
There is a family of five in Yunnan Province, including the parents, a son, their daughter-in-law, and a five-year-old grandson. The grandpa was sick and bedridden year-round. The son and his wife had mental conditions, because of which they could only do some easy tasks with help from the grandma. Because of this, almost all the chores around the house fell upon the shoulders of the grandma. She also had to take care of her young grandson.
One day, the grandma met a Dafa practitioner, who gave her a Dafa amulet. But the grandma requested two, one for herself and one for her grandson.
A few days later, the grandma found this Dafa practitioner. She asked for more amulets. She said that the amulet really works. She then recounted a story that happened to her earlier.
One day, the grandma was driving a tractor to the market. Her grandson and a dozen other people were on the tractor with her. When they were making a turn, a big coal truck suddenly flipped over because it was going too fast. The entire truckload of coal came loose and fell on the tractor. Five people died right on the spot and other people were injured to varying degrees. However, she and her grandson climbed out of the coal pile unharmed.
The grandma said, “It was the amulets that saved our lives. I have a few relatives at my house today. Please give some me amulets for my relatives so that they can be protected too.”
