(Minghui.org) At the beginning of 2020, the CCP virus (Covid-19) broke out in Wuhan and eventually spread all over the world. I realized it was important to save people during the pandemic. As a Dafa disciple, I believe that Master protects me all the time. I knew I had go out to save people. It was a new and more severe test for us, and it was as a turning point for me.
Except for those who were busy shopping in the supermarket, almost no one was on the street. I stood outside the supermarket, holding Falun Dafa amulets in my hand. Whenever anyone passed by, I smiled and told them that the amulets in my hand would bring them safety and good fortune. But it was as if they didn't see me. They continued on with no expression in their eyes. They wore masks, and their cold eyes revealed the panic and pressure inside. After an hour, I hadn't given out even one amulet, not to mention my truth-clarification materials. I was upset, but I didn’t know what to do.
I sat on a bench at a bus stop feeling helpless, thinking that I wanted to save people, but they did not want to accept it. Master saw me not enlightening and gave me a hint. This Fa came to mind: “For a cultivator, looking within is a magical tool.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2009 Washington DC International Fa Conference”) Looking within, I immediately realized my problem and thought, “Master, I was wrong. I disdained people. I need to be compassionate to save them.” I enlightened that I could only save people with compassion. It was not that the people did not accept the truth, but that I didn’t have a compassionate heart.
Just then a lady walked over, and I said, “Hello! Happy New Year!” She replied in surprise, “Happy New Year!”
By her voice, she could have been in her 30s. I told her we must be predestined, that she was the first person I’d met at the bus station since I’d sat down. She asked me what I was doing there since all the buses had all stopped. I told her that I was not waiting for a bus. I pointed to the people in the supermarket and said, “You see, everyone is busy shopping. The Communist Party covered up the real situation about the pandemic, and we learned about it late. Thus, people are not prepared for it. I’ve heard the pandemic is very serious. It’s important to stock up on things now, but I think it’s more important to protect ourselves and be safe. Don’t you agree?”
She asked if I had a solution since there is not yet a cure for the virus. I told her that I had a relative who suffered from diabetes. Yet he recovered from the disease by reading, “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He no longer needed injections or medicine; everything returned to normal. She was surprised to hear that and said, “Falun Gong is so effective. Diabetes is incurable!”
I told her that my husband was diagnosed with liver cancer in 1995. The hospital gave up on him because his cancer was at so advanced. Doctors said that he only had three months to live. So he went home and took traditional Chinese medicine to stay alive. The cancer tortured him terribly. Near the end of his life, one of his colleagues recommended Falun Gong to him and told him about some miraculous cures. My husband immediately started to practice it, and he recovered completely in three months. I told her, “Falun Gong cured my husband of liver cancer. The Wuhan virus is not as bad as cancer. That is why I tell you to recite, 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.' It can save your life.”
I also told her how important it was to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which would bring her safety and good fortune. She agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Then I gave her a truth-clarification booklet and some amulets. I also told her about a man in Wuhan that tested positive and was dying of the virus. His wife told him on the phone to recite, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He survived. I told her to tell her family and friends about it and to pass the booklet on to them, so they could also benefit from it.
She thanked me. Watching her leave, I realized that I could only save people with compassionate benevolence.
After a while, I met someone else. I first sent righteous thoughts to clear the evil factors in his mind that could resist Dafa and all interference in other dimensions. I also asked Master to save him. As a result, he accepted the truth and quit the CCP. By eleven o'clock, seven people had quit the CCP after I clarified the truth to them. One of them was a young man who looked like a college student.
He was wearing a backpack and a large mask when I hailed him from a few feet away, “Hello! Happy New Year!” He came over and said, “Hello, what can I do for you?” I told him that he seemed to be a kind young man and that he had a beautiful heart. I said, “In the pandemic, self-help is important. I practice Falun Gong, and only Falun Gong is saving people.” I took out an amulet and gave it to him.
He took it, looked at it, and said, “I know Falun Dafa is good.” I told him to remember, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” I asked him to recite those two phrases, so he could safely survive the pandemic. He nodded and asked why the regime did not let people practice Falun Gong. I told him that the guiding principles of Falun Gong are Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, while the CCP advocates the opposite: lies, animosity, and impatience. Dafa practitioners ask people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations to stay away from its karma. It would be great if people could stay away from the CCP.
He asked if he had to quit the CCP because he’d only ever joined the Youth League many years ago and had never done anything bad for the organization. Besides, he was way beyond the age for a Youth League member. I reminded him that when he joined the Youth League, he must have raised his fist and sworn to give his life to the CCP. He had to quit it, so he would not be affected when heaven destroys the CCP. I told him that he deserved a bright future, so he needed to quit the CCP. But he was dubious and asked if it was possible for heaven to destroy the CCP.
I asked him to search online to read about the 270-million-year-old stone in Pingtang County, Guizhou Province. I said, “The stone features several glyph-like characters on its surface that have been identified as, ‘the Chinese Communist Party perishes.’ Experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences have said that these characters were formed purely by nature. The end of the CCP is just around the corner. You will be safe if you quit the CCP. You will surely see the day when the CCP is destroyed by heaven.”
He understood and quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Holding the amulet, he said with emotion, “China has hope because of kind people like you. Everyone is trying to avoid the virus at home, and you are not afraid of the threat of death and have come out to save people.”
When I wrote down the list of people who’d quit the CCP that day, I saw that six of the eight were young men in their 20s. To be honest, I’d always been willing to clarify the truth to the elderly. I thought that they would still retain some traditional concepts and culture. Most of them believed in gods and Buddhas. Also, they’d experienced the CCP’s various political movements, so they were able to accept the truth. But young people seemed different—they have been brainwashed by the CCP since they were little. They believed in atheism and evolution. They did not easily accept the truth-clarification materials. I thought it was difficult to save them. Thus, in the past, most of the people on my list of those who quit the CCP were elderly.
Since the pandemic started, 80 per cent of the people on my lists who want to quit the CCP are young people. I thank Master for giving me wisdom and helping me break through my human notions. I’ve tried my best to save people by telling them the truth and asking them to quit the CCP. The number of people who quit the CCP through me increased from a dozen to more than 20 people every day. I didn't pursue quantity, but did so wholeheartedly. I know that Master arranged everything, and I just did my best.
I also encountered some difficult situations. For example, in March 2020, there were few people on the streets. I greeted walking toward me, “Hello! I sincerely wish you and your family peace and happiness.” He said something disdainful as he passed me by and walked away.
I was utterly dumbfounded. I thought it was ridiculous and couldn't help but laugh. I laughed as I walked. Anyway, there was no one ele in sight.
In “Expounding on the Fa,” Master said, “You should also be clear that “natural” does not exist, and “the inevitable” has reasons behind it.” (Essentials for Further Advancement)
After sending forth righteous thoughts at noon, I reflected on what had happened that day. I asked myself if I could keep calm if this happened in a busy area, where many people were around. Maybe I would feel hurt. Digging deeper, I found that I still had a strong fear of being hurt.
I have been berated, reported to the police, and arrested several times in the process of clarifying the truth to people. Those are all in the past, and I let bygones be bygones. But this recent occurrence was different. That disdainful look kept coming to mind and made me feel bad. It reminded me that, before I practiced Falun Gong, I was very proud. If someone made me lose face in front of others, I got really upset. After more than 20 years of cultivation, I indeed removed a lot of this attachment. What happened this time reminded me of this attachment, which was still there. I realized that I had to look inward, improve myself, and get rid of this attachment completely.
