(Minghui.org) As the CCP virus (named after the Chinese Communist Party) sweeps across the world, tourist attractions around the world have seen few visitors, so we stopped clarifying the truth at those places. As a Falun Dafa disciple, I still have to carry out my duty to make people aware of the CCP's persecution of Falun Dafa. This is very important, particularly as the world faces the uncertainty of incoming waves of pandemics.
I found that on social media, such as YouTube, if one searches for keywords about Falun Dafa, many Falun Dafa-related videos will appear. Some of these videos promote Falun Dafa, but some slander it. Regardless of whether the video is positive or negative, many people leave comments after watching.
A Taiwanese claimed in his video that Falun Dafa engages in religion. That video has garnered 600,000 views and 13,000 comments. I can tell that most of the commenters don't know much about Falun Dafa. I replied to clear up some of their misunderstandings, and some of them responded.
Among them are overseas Chinese from Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as people from mainland China who circumvented internet censorship to use overseas social media, including those in Guangzhou, Shaanxi, and the northeastern provinces.
I also noticed that when I reply to one person, many others also read it and replied to me. They had all sorts of questions. I sorted them out and tried to answer them to the best of my knowledge. Below are a few examples.
Comment: Someone in my family became psychotic after practicing Falun Dafa.
Reply: I did some research on this topic. In Western society, where mental illness is highly prevalent, it’s widely believed that the cause of mental illness has multiple factors, including genetic disorders, stress, and substance abuse. Some mental illness is hereditary. Among people who have mental illnesses, many of them also go to churches, temples, or have other beliefs. You cannot blame their illness on whatever they believe, right?
Other than the genetic or environmental factors that affect one’s mental health, some Falun Dafa practitioners were given toxic substances when they were detained, which usually damaged their nervous system and even caused them to develop mental disorders. They developed mental issues because of the persecution, but then the Chinese Communist Party blames them for going awry from the practice.
Comment: I only believe in science, not superstition, not Falun Dafa.
Reply: Superstition is a very broad and general term. People can’t treat everything they cannot see, hear, or sense as superstitious. If you believe in science, consider that our technologies and advancements were unknown to us before they were invented. If those scientists had the same mentality, how could they achieve what they did? Some top scientists like Newton or Einstein turned to religion in the end. They believed that was the true science.
People have believed in Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity, and other righteous faiths for thousands of years. If you do not believe them, it does not mean they do not exist, right? Just like electricity, X-ray, gamma rays, they are intangible and invisible, but you can’t deny their existence, right?
We need to expand our horizons. Do not let our notions limit us. When we keep learning, we will understand many more things.
Comment: How much money do you get to promote Falun Dafa so enthusiastically?
Reply: How much money can people pay you to believe in something nowadays? Does Buddhism, Christianity, or Catholicism pay people to believe in them? Falun Dafa is a righteous faith, and it has nothing to do with money. Falun Dafa practitioners benefit enormously mentally as well as physically from the practice. They just want to share the goodness of Falun Dafa with people so more can benefit from it themselves.
Most Falun Dafa practitioners work during the day and use their spare time to clarify the truth. Moreover, they are people from all walks of life. Many of them are successful entrepreneurs, businessmen, professors, and other professionals. Most Falun Dafa practitioners overseas are highly educated. They learned the truth of the cosmos, use their spare time to raise awareness of the persecution and basic information about Falun Dafa. They do not want others to be deceived by the CCP’s lies or have misunderstandings of Falun Dafa.
Comment: Falun Dafa is against the Chinese Communist Party, and practitioners are involved in politics.
Reply: Falun Dafa is a cultivation group with no interest in power, profit, or politics. The practitioners only want to practice to benefit their health, refine their character, and abide by the principles of the cosmos. The Chinese Communist Party decided to persecute us. The government mobilized the entire state apparatus to frame, slander, incite hatred against Falun Dafa. Practitioners are sent to labor camps, jails, or brainwashing centers. A countless number of them have been persecuted to disability, death, or even had their organs harvested when they were alive. The CCP says Falun Gong practitioners' awareness efforts are getting involved in politics. Do you think it’s right?
To give some extreme examples, if your home is demolished or your family member is murdered, when you appeal to the world to seek justice and others blame you for getting involved in politics, do you think it’s fair?
Comment: What about the self-immolation at Tiananmen Square? Why did they want to kill themselves?
Reply: Suicide and killing are strictly prohibited in Falun Dafa. The staged “self-immolation” at Tiananmen Square was a massive propaganda stunt contrived to demonize Falun Dafa in the minds of Chinese people. When its flaws were pointed out, the free world quickly realized the entire incident was staged, but inside China people had no access to this information and the Chinese state-run media continued its blitz to portray the “self-immolators” as Falun Dafa practitioners. Hate crimes targeting Falun Dafa practitioners increased, and the CCP escalated its persecution with increased arrests, torture, killing, and forced organ harvesting.
Here is a quick summary of suspicious points:- Plastic sprite bottle, supposedly filled with gasoline, remained intact in the flames- One person’s body was on fire, but his hair remained fully intact- A 12-year-old girl was able to sing only days after having a tracheotomy. The reporter who interviewed the girl didn’t wear any protective gear, despite the high risk of infection for someone who had been burned so severely.- Officers were patrolling with firefighting equipment at Tiananmen Square the day of the self-immolation
The above is my personal experience in clarifying the truth during the pandemic. I wrote them out as a reference to encourage fellow practitioners to join the effort to clarify the facts on social media.
