(Minghui.org) Some time ago, I wrote about my thoughts and reflections during the U.S. presidential election and submitted my article to the Minghui website. Before writing the article, I cautioned myself to not harbor any attachment as I was sharing my cultivation experience and reporting it to Master. During the process, I repeatedly revised the article, but it was not published in the end.　　

I reflected on the writing process and looked inward to find my attachments, using the article rejection as an opportunity to cultivate and improve myself. I came to see that some of the ideas expressed in my article were not correct according to Master's teachings.

What Master wants in an article should be:

“they are accurate, clean, and free of human sentiments” (“Mature,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress Vol. III)

Thinking back, the writing process was interspersed with the desire to show off and the attachment to validating myself.

When I settled down and looked within, I had a vivid dream that night. I was taking an exam. The topic was “The Understanding of American Democracy.” After I woke up, I wondered if I had an attachment about the American democratic system. When I clarified the truth, I sometimes would say that I like the United States as a country because I am free to practice my belief here. I had the idea that American democracy guarantees people freedom of belief.

While the evil communist spirit on earth manifested fully through the U.S. election, it also broke people's blind faith in the democratic system.

Master taught us:

“democracy isn’t actually a human principle.”

“During this recent period of time, with Fa-rectification to take place, a lot of kings have reincarnated in China, and nobody could declare himself a king any longer. And there’s another thing. Different-level beings from many high levels have come down and reincarnated as humans, and this has changed the make-up of different ethnic groups. Who should be made king, then? This is an even harder thing to handle, and so the old forces simply let human beings choose for themselves, and that’s democracy. Democracy, when you look at its essence from the heavens, came about because of these two things.” (Teachings Given on Lantern Festival Day, 2003)

In the heavenly realms, it is Buddhas, Taoists, and gods who rule the holy realms. And in traditional societies, it is the monarchs and emperors who rule the territories. This democratic system in the West is just an alternative system arranged by the old forces at a particular time. This kind of democracy may not exist in the future. The chaos that unfolded in the U.S. election has also made the world further aware of the loopholes and shortcomings of the democratic system.

Human society exists to enable man to cultivate and return to the heavenly abodes, and man's situation in the human world is a reflection of their karmic result, not the pursuit of worldly benefits through this democratic system. The divine is in control of everything in this world and balancing all kinds of karmic relationships. Man cannot act arbitrarily simply by their desires of profit.

In fact, if we think about it carefully, Master began teaching Dafa and saved Dafa disciples. Then with the release of Nine Comments on the Communist Party, more ordinary people were saved by recognizing the evil Communist Party for what it is. Master also founded Shen Yun Performing Arts to save even more sentient beings. In other words, various forms have been used to save more people and at the same time temper Dafa disciples to become the future Buddhas, Taoists and Gods.
