(Minghui.org) When the spring flowers bloomed in 1997, Falun Gong spread to a small village with less than a hundred households in northern China. Soon, Falun Gong’s enormous healing power was well-known to every family. People of all ages came to learn this ancient spiritual and meditation discipline. Nearly 60 villagers took up the practice the following year.
The practitioners in the village often gathered to do the exercises and share experiences to encourage one another to live by Falun Gong’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.
Due to Falun Gong’s tremendous popularity, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its former leader, Jiang Zemin, launched the persecution in 1999. Police vehicles began to frequent the small village. Since then, dark clouds blanketed the village sky, and villagers lived in constant fear.
It has been over 22 years since the onset of the persecution, and more and more people now understand the facts of Falun Gong and the evil nature of the CCP, thanks to the sustained efforts of Falun Gong practitioners. In this small village, many people now agree that Falun Gong is good and is friendly with practitioners. These villagers’ righteousness has been rewarded with good blessings. I would like to share the stories of two such families.
Tian Feng (pseudonym) is an ordinary villager. Although the CCP used its totalitarian authority to spread smearing propaganda to defame Falun Gong, he never believed them, but readily accepted the informational materials from Falun Gong practitioners. He saved all the materials and read them again whenever he had time.
He had also read the two books the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Partyand The Ultimate Goal of Communism. He asked Falun Gong practitioners to help him withdraw from the CCP with his real name. He said he believes that Falun Gong is good and that he admires the practitioners for their faith and courage.
Seven years ago, Tian came down with acute cholecystitis. After the surgery, he became fragile and pale. He did what Falun Gong practitioners suggested—sincerely repeating the auspicious phrases every day, “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” Gradually, he gained more strength. Two years later, he recovered completely. He told practitioners, “I owe my life to Falun Gong! Without Master Li’s (Dafa’s founder) protection, I would have been dead by now.”
Tian’s wife, son, and daughter-in-law all support Falun Gong and have withdrawn from the CCP, and its affiliated organizations.
Tian’s son is trusted by all villagers. He is often invited to help with weddings and other major household events. Right before the CCP virus (Covid 19) outbreak in China in early 2020, Tian’s grandson came home for the Chinese New Year but was unable to return to work when the entire country was locked down. A Falun Gong practitioner in the village persuaded him to quit the Communist Youth League that he was part of. Encouraged by his grandfather, he agreed to quit.
In spring 2021, he successfully passed the doctor’s qualification examination and is now working in a hospital. His salary has doubled.
Tian was very grateful and said, “Falun Gong protects my entire family!”
Gao Ming (pseudonym) was a village official. When several Falun Gong practitioners in the village were detained in 1999, the village officials took turns watching them. When he was on duty one night, he sympathized with these practitioners and let them go home.
After he retired, he continued treating Falun Gong practitioners kindly. His family had a motor tricycle, and he and his wife often went to the market in town. On their way there, they always picked up Falun Gong practitioners to ride with them and then dropped them off at the practitioners’ houses.
Once a practitioner’s electric scooter broke on her way back from the market. Gao quickly returned home to drop everyone off, and then went back to help the practitioner push her scooter all the way home.
A few years ago, Gao suffered a stroke and was treated at the town hospital for half a month. A practitioner gave him Falun Gong informational materials to read. The practitioner told him that not only practitioners of Falun Gong would benefit from the practice, but those who support the practice in the face of the persecution would also be blessed. He shared stories of people receiving blessings, either recovering from a major disease or escaping danger in major accidents, by reciting the auspicious phrases every day. Gao took his suggestion and quickly recovered.
Gao’s wife had heart disease and relied on drugs to sustain her life. She also began to repeat the auspicious phrases daily, and her heart problems lessened.
In 2019, Gao’s wife suffered gastric bleeding and was admitted to the hospital. She continued repeating the auspicious phrases every day and was discharged a week later. She recovered completely in a few months.
Although Gao and his wife are both in their late 60s now, they are in very good health. They still farm on their 30-acre land. Gao’s son and daughter-in-law work in Beijing, and both have good incomes. Their high school grandson is a very good student.
