(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Wu Xuemei has been brutally tortured in Jinan Women’s Prison because she refused to give up her faith in Falun Gong. She developed health problems and her life was in danger as a result of abuse in prison.
Ms. Wu was arrested from her home on November 21, 2020. Her home was ransacked. She was held in the Pudong Detention Center before being taken to prison.
Ms. Jiang Xinmei was scheduled to be tried in the Jiangbei District Court on November 16, 2021.
On November 9, 2021, Xie Wenquan, director of the Jiulonggang Police Station, and officers from the Datong Police Department went to Ms. Li Wenlan’s (who is disabled) home in Caodianzi village. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books.
Ms. Li and her family were repeatedly harassed. Her grandson was expelled from high school because she practices Falun Gong. Under great pressure, Ms. Li’s son smashed her walking aid. Her family environment has become tense ever since.
In 2021, the universities that one of Ms. Li’s grandchildren applied for refused to admit him/her because Ms. Li refused to give up practicing Falun Gong. Her daughter’s family hated her because of this, which put her under great pressure.
Mr. Li Zhijun, Mr. Han Jinjing, and Ms. Gao Xiuping were arrested on October 10, 2021. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Li is held in the Hengshui Detention Center. Mr. Han is held in the Jizhou District Detention Center, and Ms. Gao continues to be detained at the Honghe hotel in the Taocheng District.
Mr. Li Yixing was arrested in early November.
Around November 10, 2021, Mr. Song Chengkuai, from Huangdao District, was arrested when he distributed Falun Gong informational materials.
On November 10, 2021, officers from the Pingding County Police Department arrested Ms. Yu Chanfang and a female practitioner with the nickname Si Ni at their homes. Ms. Yu was released the same day. Si Ni’s whereabouts are unknown.
On November 12, 2021, Mr. Jiao Hengqing was officially placed under arrest.
On July 9, 2021, Ms. Cao Weiling and her daughter Ms. Cao Qingci were reported to police when they distributed Falun Gong informational materials. Officers from the Pudong New District Domestic Security Division arrested them. They ransacked their home and confiscated their Falun Gong books and USB drives. Ms. Cao and her daughter were interrogated at the Hudong Police Station and then transferred to the Pudong New District Detention Center. They were detained there and released on July 29, 2021.
The case against Mr. Xu Yanzhong, his wife Ms. Jiao Ting’e, and Mr. Ji Jinmu was brought to the Huangdao Court.
