(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 27 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Tianliang Sentenced Secretly

Mr. Wang Tianliang was taken to the Xinmi City Prison from the Yanshi District Detention Center on October 11, 2021. He was sentenced to two and a half years in prison without a trial or notifying his family as required by law.

2. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Caimin and Ms. Li Cuixia Sentenced

Ms. Chen Caimin and Ms. Li Cuixia of Xiaochengzi Township, Lingyuan City were arrested in Tianyi Town, Ningcheng County, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia by officers from the Tianyi Police Station in May 2021. Their homes were ransacked by officers from the Tianyi Police Station and the Xiaochengzi Police Station. They were formally arrested. The Fourth Court of Ningcheng County Court sentenced them to one year in prison on the afternoon of September 17, 2021.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Zhendong Transferred to Another Hospital

Mr. Li Zhendong has ascites because he was abused in the Dongling Prison. He was transferred to an unknown hospital from the Fourth Hospital of the Medical School.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Zhonghua Faces Trial

Ms. Liu Zhonghua was arrested on June 2, 2021. The Ganjingzi District Court scheduled a virtual trial for 2:00 p.m. on November 2.

5. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Luan Changhui Faces Trial

Mr. Luan Changhui will be tried by the Lianshan District Court on November 24, 2021.

6. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Xia Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xia of Beijing was arrested in Jiamusi City. Jiamusi police arrested her near her home in Jiamusi, then went upstairs and searched her place. They seized her computer, printer, cell phone, and a copy of Zhuan Falun.

An officer from a police station in Beijing called her a month ago. A Jiamusi community officer later went to her home and questioned her if she still practiced Falun Gong.

7. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Practitioners Harassed

Ningcheng County Political and Legal Affairs Committee ordered officers from police stations to harass practitioners - forcing them to sign statements renouncing Falun Gong. It happened in August, September, and October 2021.

Four officers from the Xiqiao Police Station in Harqin Banner forced Ms. Cheng Sulian to sign statements renouncing Falun Gong.

Ms. Zhang Zhiyun and Mr. Liu Xiang were harassed by officers. The family of Ms. Yang Xiurong was harassed by officers from the Tiexi Police Station.

Ms. Wang Guihua was repeatedly harassed in August and September. She was harassed again in late October. The harassers tried to force her to sign statements renouncing Falun Gong, and threatened her family.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jing Fengmei Detained

Ms. Jing Fengmei was arrested by officers from the Anqinglu Police Station on the afternoon of October 28, 2021. She is being held in the Weizigou Detention Center.

9. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Chu Fuhua, Ms. Mi Jinhying, Ms. Hou Chengfu, and Zhu (first name and gender unknown) were arrested around October 28, 2021. The homes of Mr. Chu and Ms. Mi were ransacked.

10. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Mr. Yan Xiuhong Sentenced

Mr. Yan Xiuhong was sentenced to four years and six months in prison by the Guangzong County Court. She was taken to the Jidong Prison from the Guangzong County Detention Center on October 20, 2021.

11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Hongxia Detained

Ms. Liu Hongxia was arrested by officers from the Baiyunjie Police Station in the evening of October 28, 2021. The officers ransacked her home, seized her Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and cell phones. She is being held in the Dalian Detention Center.

12. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Feng Xingxiu Harassed

Ms. Feng Xingxiu, 78, was harassed at home by officer Tan Ming and another officer from Gaoping Town on the afternoon of October 20, 2021. They photographed her against her will. On the afternoon of October 21, the militia company commander of the Eighth Brigade went to her home. Later, five officers and a brigade cadre went there. No one answered the door. Her neighbor said she went to her daughter’s home. They left.

13. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Tingting Harassed

Ms. Zhang Tingting was arrested at home by four officers from the Gaoping Town Police Station around 10:00 a.m. on October 21, 2021. They said she talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Shifang City during the summer and they interrogated her in the police station. They went back to her home at 8:00 p.m., ransacked the place, and seized her Falun Gong books and Falun Gong materials.

She was harassed at work by two officers at noon on October 26 and at 3:00 p.m. on October 29.

14. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Jingli Detained

Ms. Wang Jingli was arrested by officers from the Xiangyang Police Station on the morning of October 24, 2021, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in a morning market.

Seven officers went to her home around 4:00 p.m. Her husband and son did not answer the door. They left and came back with a locksmith. Her husband opened the door. They entered, looked around, and had her husband sign a document, saying it was part of the process.

Her family was notified that she was subjected to 15 days of detention and would be released on November 8.

15. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Cuirong Harassed

Ms. Zhao Cuirong was harassed at home by two officers from the Donghu Police Department on October 28, 2021. They photographed her.

16. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Xin and Mr. Yang Guozhong Detained

Ms. Li Xin (alias) and her husband, Mr. Yang Guozhong, were arrested at home by officers from the Faku County Domestic Security Division and the Tuanjie Police Station on the morning of October 17, 2021.

Ms. Li and Mr. Yang are being held at the Shenyang Detention Center and the Faku County Detention Center respectively.

17. [Shanghai] Ms. Sun Shaofang and Ms. Tan Xiufang Detained

Ms. Sun Shaofang, 86, was incarcerated in the Minhang Detention Center on May 21, 2021. She was released on October 20.

Ms. Tan Xiufang of Xiantao City, Hubei Province, works in Shanghai. She was detained in the Minhang District for 37 days, and released on October 21.
