(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 33 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xie Hanzhu and His Wife Arrested and Detained

Mr. Xie Hanzhu and his wife were arrested at home by officers from the Meijiang District Police Department and the Chengxi Police Station on the morning of October 20, 2021. Their home was ransacked and their personal belongings including their Falun Gong books and cash were confiscated. Mr. Xie’s wife was detained for five days. Mr. Xie was recently placed under official arrest and was detained in the Meijiang District Detention Center. 

Mr. Xie was sentenced and detained in prison for more than 10 years because he practices Falun Gong.

2. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Yinzhong Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Zhang Yinzhong was taken to the Linyi City Brainwashing Center, accompanied by two persons from his workplace. It is learned that several practitioners were told to go to the brainwashing center including Liu Ying (gender unknown), Ms. Li Xia, Ms. Wang Shaoying and Yu (given name and gender unknown). 

3. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gou Yuxia Arrested

Ms. Gou Yuxia in her 80s, a resident of Zhongzipo Village, Zhangdian District, was arrested on the afternoon of November 5, 2021. Her home was ransacked. 

4. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Yi Jiahai Arrested and Detained

Mr. Yi Jiahai was arrested at his home by several officers from the Huangtugang Police Station on November 6, 2021. His home was ransacked. Several thousand yuan printed with Falun Gong information were confiscated. Mr. Yi is detained in Macheng City.

5. [Fangcheng County, Henan Province] Ms. Fan Xianglian Arrested and Detained

Ms. Fan Xianglian was arrested and taken to the police station on November 3, 2021. She is detained in the Fangcheng Detention House. 

6. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Jia Jianhuai Arrested and Detained

Mr. Jia Jianhuai received a call on September 8, 2021 from officer Ma Zhanxian from the Tuanjiexincun Police Station. He was told to go to the station and pick his cell phone. He was arrested as soon as he arrived. 

His family received a notice on September 24, 2021, stating that Mr. Jia was placed under official arrest and was accused of, “Undermining the law enforcement using a (slanderous term deleted).” Mr. Jia is now detained in the No. 3 Detention Center of Lanzhou City.

7. [Qichun County, Hubei Province] Zhu Xintian Arrested

Zhu Xintian (gender unknown) was arrested by officers from the Datong Town Police Station on November 3, 2021. 

8. [Beijing] Mr. Pan Qin Arrested and Harassed

Mr. Pan Qin from Shijingshan District and another practitioner were reported to the police for talking to two middle school students on the street about Falun Gong and were arrested on October 7, 2021. They were detained in the police station for several hours. Mr. Pan’s home was ransacked. His computer and printer were confiscated. 

Mr. Pan was harassed at home by people from the local residential committee and the Babaoshan Police Station on October 21, 2021. He was pressured to write a guarantee statement, which he refused to do. 

9. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. He Haiyan Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Ms. He Haiyan from Rucheng County was taken to the Xiameiqiao Brainwashing Center on October 28, 2021. Her home was ransacked. Her personal belongings were confiscated including her work phone, her personal cell phone and her Falun Gong books. She was detained in the brainwashing center for nearly a week. She went on a hunger strike to protest and was released on November 4, 2021. 

10. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Three practitioners from the Zhangdian Development Zone including 65-year-old Ms. Xing Suzhi, 78-year-old Ms. Sun Xiuling, and 50-year-old Ms. Zhang Liping, were arrested by officers from the Weigu Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong in the Weigu Market in Gaoxin District on November 4, 2021. Their homes were ransacked. The practitioners are now back home.

11. [Honghu City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Leave Home to Avoid Persecution

Four practitioners, Ms. Tang Fangqiong, Mr. Gong Bin, Ms. Wu Qinyu, and Mr. Hu Huiru, were harassed by police officers and by people at their workplaces. They left their homes to avoid further persecution. 

12. [Quwo County, Shanxi Province] Mr. Wang Zhongyuan and Mr. Xie Xiaohu Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Mr. Wang Zhongyuan and Mr. Xie Xiaohu from Gaoxian Town were arrested and taken to a brainwashing center on October 15, 2021. 

13. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] The Homes of Mr. Luo Daguo and Ms. Wu Yanwen Ransacked

Three people from the Zhongguanyi Town Comprehensive Management Office went to Fanghe Village on October 15, 2021. They ransacked Mr. Luo Daguo’s home and then Ms. Wu Yanwen’s home. They confiscated a memory card from Mr. Luo’s home. Ms. Wu came home while these people were searching her home. She managed to retrieve the book Zhuan Falun. They confiscated 700-800 yuan in cash from her home.

Ms. Wu’s son Mr. Luo Liteng was arrested by officers from the Railway Police Station on May 21, 2021 and has been detained in the Macheng Detention Center since then.

14. [Shanghai] Mr. Qu Fei Under 24-hour Police Surveillance

Mr. Qu Fei, a resident of Liutuan Town, Pudong New District, was arrested and detained for 10 days for talking to people about Falun Gong. After he was released on October 21, 2021, officers from the Liutuan Town Police Station put him under 24-hour surveillance. 

15. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tao Lahuai Stays Away from Home to Avoid Harassment 

Ms. Tao Lahuai was arrested on July 22 2021 and was detained for 10 days. After she was released, she was constantly harassed by the local police and community staff members. She has no choice but stays away from her home to avoid being persecuted. 

16. [Shanghai] Ms. Gao Lingling Followed and Monitored

Ms. Gao Lingling from Pumei New Village was followed and monitored around October 1, 2021. She was followed even when she went out to buy vegetables.

17. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Three Practitioners Arrested 

Ms. Sun Xiurong, Ms. Zhang Shuxia and Ms. Nie were arrested on the afternoon of November 5, 2021. Their homes were ransacked and their Falun Gong books were confiscated. The practitioners were released later that evening.
