People Take Down Banners Slandering Falun Gong After Learning of the Illegality of Persecution

Jan. 20, 2021 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) During the nationwide “Zero-Out” harassment campaign aimed to force every Falun Gong practitioner on the government's blacklist to renounce their faith, many banners slandering Falun Gong have appeared in residential areas and business centers. Some banners were destroyed or removed by Falun Gong practitioners, but new banners always came out at the same place later on.

There is one practitioner in my local area who has successfully made many residential areas remove the banners on their own initiative. How did she do it?

We live at a big city in Southwest China. Slanderous banners were not only hung up in residential areas, but also appeared on electric billboards in a high traffic commercial center. After the practitioner learned about this, she approached the person in charge of the advertisement in the commercial center.

She prepared two sets of documents. The first one was a document showing Falun Gong wasn’t on the cult list designated by the government. The other was the notice issued by the Chinese publication bureau lifting the ban on Falun Gong books and materials.

She not only showed the person in charge and his coworkers hard copies of the documents, but also guided them to find these documents online by using Gaidu (China's biggest search engine). They were shocked to see these publicly available documents, which they had never heard of before.

The practitioner explained to them, “Given my age, I have experienced many political struggles in the past decades. During the Cultural Revolution, intellectuals were suppressed to the bottom of the society. They were considered the most useless people. But now, intellectuals are needed everywhere.”

“It must have cost you a lot of money to follow the government's order to put up the advertisement on the billboards. Why are you displaying the slanderous slogans without getting paid by the government? Isn't it better to play regular advertisements and earn some income?”

The person in charge suddenly understood, “You are right. The residential committee staff doesn't spend a penny on advertising. They actually take up our resources for nothing. Well, I will take these down right away.”

Then the practitioner went to the street security offices and police stations to clarify the truth to them. Although different people reacted differently, most people listened to her and didn’t cause trouble for her.

Sometimes when the practitioner was talking to one officer, more and more policemen gathered around, like they were listening to something they had never heard before.

The practitioner often said, “Master has arranged everything. All we need to do is to take action.”

The practitioner took a similar approach and clarified the truth to the residential committee that hung up slanderous banners in subdivisions. When they understood that she did it for their own good, they usually took the initiative to remove the banners.

Some property managers said to the practitioner, “We just hung it up not long ago. We'll take it down after a while.” The practitioner then offered help to remove it right away. She said she often received timely help as she needed in removing the banners. She believes that as long as we hold righteous thoughts, Master will help us in everything we do.

With this practitioner's efforts, slanderous banners in nine residential communities were removed. The practitioner was always friendly and calm, even while facing the police. I was impressed by her righteousness and I don’t see any fear in her at all. I believe what this practitioner has achieved comes from her solid cultivation and rock-solid righteous thoughts.
