Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province: Over Ten Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested in One Day

(Minghui.org) Over ten Falun Gong practitioners in Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province were arrested on a shopping street around 9 a.m. on July 26, 2020, by officers from Xi’an City Police Department and Hongmiaopo Police Station.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Eight of the practitioners’ names have been confirmed. All of them had their homes ransacked. They are: Ms. Dou Shujun, 86; Ms. Guo Xianglian, 82; Mr. Lian, 80; Ms. Wang Xiuyun, 79; Ms. Wang Bing, 79; Ms. Wu Yaolun, 79; Ms. Ren Fengying, around 78; and Mr. Zhang Hailun, around 60.

Some practitioners have been released at the time of writing. More details about the arrests and their current status remain to be investigated.
