(Minghui.org) During the initial stage of the CCP virus (also known as the coronavirus) outbreak, few people knew what was happening due to the CCP's (Chinese Communist Party) cover-up. People were busy making preparations to celebrate the Chinese New Year. My father has many friends, and every day he went to parties or banquets. There were dozens or even hundreds at those gatherings.
Father’s busy schedule lasted until the evening of January 22, when the outbreak could no longer be hidden. Our city was quarantined the next morning.
The Hankou District is located in the epicenter, where the outbreak was the most serious. It was dangerous to eat in the restaurants in Hankou every day! My father’s friend attended two class reunions before January 11th. He was infected with the CCP virus and gave it to his wife. Both of them died.
In the following days, Father’s social circles on Wechat continued to post news of infections. Every few days, one of his friends would test positive or pass away; there were several deaths and more infections in a nearby residential area. The busy city suddenly became a ghost town. Every few minutes, ambulances raced by, their sirens blaring, adding to the overall feeling of dread.
Recalling Father’s frequent appearance at parties before the outbreak was announced, everyone commented on how lucky he was to remain healthy! Although he was worried, Father knew that our family has been protected because we are Falun Dafa practitioners. This fact eased his mind.
Even though Father is not a Falun Dafa practitioner, he experienced many positive changes after Mother and I began practicing. He knows that Falun Dafa teaches Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and has personally witnessed how Mother and I have improved. He has never opposed our cultivation, and he quit the CCP organizations he belonged to.
Father’s immunity despite his repeated exposure is evidence that he has been protected by Falun Dafa! My grandma lives in another city and she's been very worried about us. When she sighed, “What a catastrophe!” my cousin, a non-practitioner, told her, “They are blessed because they practice Falun Dafa!”
