(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in eight provinces, where at least 34 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Wencheng and His Wife Ms. Pan Yunxiang Facing Trial

Mr. Zhang Wencheng, 62, and his wife Ms. Pan Yunxiang, 60, from Beipiao City were arrested by the director of Ha'ernao Township Police Station and other officers on November 8, 2019. The couple’s home was ransacked, and Falun Dafa books, a printer, and a laptop were confiscated.

Mr. Zhang was taken to the Sijing Detention Center. Ms. Pan was taken to the Chaoyang Detention Center.

Their cases were turned over to the Beipiao City Court. They are due to be tried on April 29, 2020.

2. [Chongqing] Ms. Gao Jie Arrested

Ms. Gao Jie, 63, from the Hechuan District was arrested by officers from the Heyang Police Station on the evening of April 16, 2020. Her home was ransacked, and a computer, printer, and printed materials were confiscated. Ms. Gao’s whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Zhaoqin Arrested

Ms. Sun Zhaoqin was arrested by officers from the Yuhe Town Police Station on April 26, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Liufanqiao Farmers' Market. Her whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Five Elderly Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Suying, (71), Ms. Hu Jiying, (68), Ms. Lang Gaiqin (67), Mr. Wang Jianjun (64), and Ms. Xia Shuilian (76) were arrested by officers from the Xinxiang City Domestic Security Division and the Tiexi Police Station.

5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhao Qiu, Ms. Geng Luqing, Ms. Wang Wei, Ms. Zhao Xilan, Ms. Xiaohong, Ms. Kang Xiujing, and Ms. Luo Ying were arrested by officers from the Sujiatun District Domestic Security Division’s Investigation Team and the Jiefang Police Station on April 23, 2020.

Mr. Teng Fei from the Dadong District was arrested by officers from the Sujiatun District Police Department on the morning of April 23.

6. [Beijing] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhou Suxia and her son Mr. Liu Kuo were arrested at home by officers from the Shunyi District Domestic Security Division and the Houshayu Police Station on the morning of April 24, 2020. Their residence was ransacked. They were taken to the Shunyi Detention Center.

Ms. Sun Xiuying and Ms. Gui Haihua from Dongyantou Village, Mulin Town, were arrested by officers from the Shunyi Domestic Security Division and the Mulin Police Station on April 26. Their homes were ransacked.

7. [Daxing'anling Prefecture, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Kaixin Arrested

Ms. Liu Kaixin was arrested by the Domestic Security Division head Zhou Benhua and other officers on the afternoon of March 20, 2020. Her home was ransacked, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a computer, cell phone, and cash were confiscated.

8. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Tong Hengbiao Detained

Mr. Tong Hengbiao from the Yixi District was arrested at the Daqing East Railway Station on January 19, 2020, when he was about to take the train to his daughter’s home in Beijing for the Chinese New Year. He is being held in the Daqing City Detention Center.

9. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Qing Zhubing and Ms. Tan Kexia Arrested

Ms. Qing Zhubing and Ms. Tan Kexia were arrested by plainclothes officers on the afternoon of March 11, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong at a bus station. Their homes were ransacked. They were detained at home for 24 days.

Ms. Qing was again placed under surveillance for three days on April 24.

10. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Luo Xiaoxing and His Sisters Detained

Mr. Luo Xiaoxing and his sisters, Ms. Luo Qiaoli and Ms. Luo Qiaoping, were arrested on February 28, 2020. They were taken to the Panzhihua City Detention Center.

11. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhao Jianmin Arrested

Mr. Zhao Jianmin from Shuangliao City was arrested on April 10, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong materials. He is being held in the Lishu County Detention Center.

12. [Muling City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Gao Pengguang, his sister Ms. Gao Yongli, and Mr. Sun Shiwei were arrested by officers from the Muling City Domestic Security Division on April 24, 2020. Their whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zeng Xiaoling and Ms. Liao Xiaoping Detained

Ms. Zeng Xiaoling was arrested by the Mei County police on March 11, 2020. She was taken to the Jiaoling County Detention Center for 16 days.

Ms. Liao Xiaoping was arrested on April 22, and detained for ten days.
