(Minghui.org) When Falun Dafa practitioners share experiences, we often say, “Believe in Master and the Fa” or “We should do what Master asks.” Yet, how many of us ponder what these phrases truly mean? They are not merely rhetoric but a standard of behavior.
Master Li said:
“What is true faith? You’re merely saying with your mouth that you have faith, but in your heart you don’t actually have faith. Why do I say that? Because when you truly have faith your actions match your words.” (Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Europe)
It is not a trivial matter if one’s words and actions are inconsistent. It is not only irresponsible to Master and the Fa but also irresponsible to oneself!
Master said:
“If you, as a student [of Dafa], do not follow Master’s requirements, it is definitely no simple thing. The old forces have arranged for all Dafa disciples a set of their things, so if a Dafa disciple doesn’t follow Master’s requirements, he must be following the old forces’ arrangements.” (“Be Clearheaded,” The Essentials Of Diligent Progress Vol. III)
How can we cultivate if we do things according to the arrangements of the old forces? How can we assist Master during the Fa-rectification and fulfill our vows?
Some practitioners I knew would not clarify the truth and save people. Those who did would not take it seriously, as something important. They couldn't even persuade three people to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its youth organizations in one month.
Practitioners who do not try to save people should not think that Master Li will acknowledge them, let alone think that they will reach consummation. If one can’t reach consummation, Master said, “Generally speaking it will be handled based on the vows each person made, and there won’t be a second chance—none at all.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2015 West Coast Fa Conference”)
We should all think about this seriously.
I didn't write this to criticize practitioners but to generate discussion. Cultivation is a serious matter.
I would like to remind us to cherish this unique opportunity. While the Fa-rectification is not over yet, we still have a chance to truly believe in Master and the Fa.
We should be more diligent, offer no excuses, and do the three things well according to Master’s requirements. We should do our best to save the people we have vowed to save and fulfill our mission.
