(Minghui.org) I felt tired after visiting another practitioner last January so I went to bed early. The next morning my speech was slurred. My daughter was alarmed and asked, “What happened to you?”
“I'm fine,” I assured her. However, my right side was numb and I had difficulty moving my right arm and hand. When I tried to walk, I fell.
Master said, “So a person has to have a strong will. The will must be firm!” (Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Switzerland) I repeatedly recited these words.
My daughter had to help me bathe, eat and dress. My family was worried and wanted to take me to the hospital. My nephew phoned and said, “If she refuses to go, we'll tie her up and take her there.” My grandson hung up on him.
As practitioners, we know that nothing we experience is coincidental. Nothing is as it seems on the surface. I placed my trust in Master to help me get through this. I was determined to live up to the standards of a Falun Dafa practitioner and continue doing the three things.
I did the exercises as usual every day. But when I meditated, I couldn't lift my right arm. After a few days, I was able to do the second exercise for an hour.
Since I couldn't write, I typed. My pace was slow and laborious. By being persistent, however, I was able to organize new articles from the Minghui website and print them out for other practitioners.
Entering the names of those who had renounced their memberships in the Chinese Communist Party was also tedious. I took my time and used my left hand to move my right hand.
As my right hand regained strength, I started to hand copy Master's article. My handwriting improved from illegible to nearly normal.
Another practitioner's father wanted to practice Falun Dafa. He's hard of hearing and nearly illiterate. I read Zhuan Falun with him, teaching him the words he didn't know and correcting the words he mispronounced. Eventually he was able to slowly read Zhuan Falun on his own.
He told me, “You're more patient than my own family. I'm so grateful for your help.”
Like Master said,
“But through the strength of your conviction, through the sacred vows that brought you to this earth, through the personal bonds and ties of destiny you established over many lifetimes, through your rational understanding of Dafa, and through the righteous thoughts that Dafa has given you and the ultimate protection from the Fa and its powers, you have made it through!” (“To the Canada Fa Conference” Yellow translation)
I made it through. I completely recovered and can now do all the household chores.
Due to the fast spread of the CCP Virus and the order for people to isolate themselves at home, people were nervous and afraid to go out despite the Chinese New Year holiday season.
How could I save people then? I lost sleep for a few days.
I was staying with my daughter's family during that time, and no one in her neighborhood knew I was a practitioner.
One morning, I delivered DVDs about Falun Dafa and articles from the Minghui website regarding the coronavirus to neighbors in our building.
A woman was exiting from her apartment on the six floor. She saw the package I had left at her door and quickly picked it up. I heard her tell her husband, “Someone left this outside.”
I also heard the neighbors on the other floors opening their doors and picking up the DVDs and news article from the Minghui website.
That night, I slept soundly.
From that day on, I started making and delivering news articles about the coronavirus from the Minghui website and keepsakes to people in our community. Our movements were restricted due to the quarantine, so I made my deliveries when I had to go out for other things. I also delivered to local supermarkets and stores while getting groceries.
Several people in the neighborhood asked what I was doing. Without hesitation, I answered, “I'm saving people.”
Some said, “You’re giving out things related to Falun Dafa. You'll get arrested.”
I said, “That won't happen because I'm here to save people.”
