(Minghui.org) As Dafa disciples, it is our responsibility to assist Master in saving people. Only by solidly cultivating ourselves and doing well the three things can we truly become Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples and fulfill our mission.
I learned about the virus outbreak in Wuhan while I was in the U.S. My first reaction was that a massive weeding out had started and that we must hurry up to save more people.
I immediately called my relatives and friends in China to urge them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations and encourage them to sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
Some of my friends, after realizing the importance of breaking with the CCP, also asked me to help their family members to quit.
A friend of mine, who only knew my phone number that I used when I was in Canada, called my Canadian number when I was in the U.S. The call miraculously went through, and it was picked up by the phone that had my U.S. SIM card, not the Canadian card!
I realized that Master was showing my friend the power of Dafa. When I told her about it, she was even more convinced of the miraculous effect of Falun Dafa.
After I went back to Canada, we could no long clarify the truth to people as usual at tourist sites as people were advised to stay home, and there were no more Chinese tourists.
We set up the truth-clarification site in 2013 and had since been talking to Chinese tourists every day. By 2019, the number of tourists had increased sharply, and in peak seasons, about 20 busloads visited the spot every day.
When we were short of manpower and couldn’t talk to every tourist, we rushed back and forth with display boards in hand, telling people to quit the CCP and recite “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” when they faced danger.
I remember that, towards the end of 2019, groups of Chinese tourists turned up right in front us, one group after another, and we helped many of them quit the CCP.
Looking back, I've come to understand that Master, seeing our hearts to save people, had arranged for those tourists to come to us.
One day, a fellow practitioner took a random photo of the site and saw flower petals in the sky. Out of curiosity, I took a shot of the sky and saw nine beautiful pink petals in the photo. When I thought about it later, I realized that there were usually nine practitioners at the site on a regular basis.
Once, another practitioner and I were both going through some sickness karma, but as soon as we got to the site, all our symptoms disappeared, and a few days later, we both fully recovered. We could feel that the site was filled with compassion and harmony. We felt that Master was right next to us and that countless Buddhas, Taos, and Gods were up in the sky looking down at us.
Reflecting on the current CCP virus pandemic, I feel that every minute and second we have is so precious. Opportunity knocks but once, and time waits for no one. We must therefore follow Master's guidance closely, cherish every moment we still have, and do well the three things with all due sincerity so that we will leave no regrets on our cultivation path.
Inspired by other practitioners' experiences, I joined the phone call project to call Hubei Province.
One day, I called a high-ranking officer in the Hubei police system.
“Who are you?” he asked rather rudely.
I didn't answer him directly and just started to talk about how the Wuhan coronavirus had disrupted our lives and harmed our health.
He hung up.
Prior to calling him, I had called a female officer with the same rank and told her that I was calling from overseas. She said she would not speak to anyone calling from overseas and hung up on me. When I called her again, she refused to answer the phone.
I thought to myself that I must not get stuck, that I needed to get straight to the relevant points.
I dialed the male officer's number again. He picked up and yelled, “Why should I listen to you?!”
I wasn’t put off by his attitude and said, “I hope you can understand that your safety has nothing to do with your occupation, rank, or wealth. It is determined by karmic relationships. Have you ever thought about why the pandemic started in Wuhan?”
Quiet now, he listened.
I first told him about the ancient Roman Empire, which was destroyed after four devastating plagues because of its persecution of Christians. Then I told him how the CCP had been persecuting millions of innocent Falun Gong practitioners and committing genocide and crimes against humanity, including forced organ harvesting. I said those who work in its legal and public security systems are also victims because they too will suffer karmic retribution as accomplices of the CCP.
“This pandemic also serves as a warning to all of humanity,” I said. “We are in a transition when the old epoch is being replaced with the new. People need to atone for their wrongdoings, purify their souls, return to virtue, and elevate their moral standards. Most important of all, they need to make a clean break from the CCP, whose goal is to drag down all of humankind, I said.
“We are calling people in China because we believe that most of them are kind, but they don't know the facts due to tight censorship. They are also victims of the CCP's lies. They are in grave danger if they do not withdraw from the CCP organizations. I hope you take what I'm saying seriously, see through the evil nature of the CCP, sever your ties with it, and remember 'Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.' This is the fundamental way to stay safe in this special period of history. I sincerely hope you are safe and well.”
The officer remained silent the entire time I talked.
“Is this all true?” he asked when I was about to hang up.
“Everything I said is true,” I assured him.
Even though he did not say anything else, I felt he had taken to heart what I said and was thinking it over.
As I clarify the truth, I keep in mind these words Master said, which encourage me to do even better:
“Do well what remains to be done, and head toward the future with a cultivation journey free of regret. I wish you much enlightenment and success!” (“To the Canada Fa Conference,” Team Yellow Translation)
