(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in India introduced the practice at several large-scale events in Kolkata, Pondicherry, and Hyderabad this winter. Many people learned about the benefits of Falun Gong and enjoyed learning the exercises.
The annual International Kolkata Book Fair was held January 29-February 9, 2020. It’s the world’s largest non-trade book fair and the largest book fair in Asia. About 2.5 million people attended this year. Falun Gong practitioners set up an information booth and demonstrated the exercises.
Crowds of people visited the booth to learn about Falun Gong, especially on the weekends. About 160 people bought Falun Gong books and left their contact information to learn Falun Gong. A nearby exhibitor came to learn the exercises in his free time.

Telling people about Falun Gong
A young man from Birmingham, England, said he’d heard about the persecution of Falun Gong in China and signed a petition calling for its end.
A man who often visits his son in San Francisco said he had heard about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. He admired the practitioners’ spirit and wanted to help spread the word about the persecution.
Practitioners also distributed many copies of the Minghui International newsletter, which includes evidence of the CCP’s organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.
The 23 rd National Book Fair was held in the city of Pondicherry from December 20 -December 29, 2019. R K R Anantharaman, Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), and a large group of officials visited the fair. Falun Gong practitioners talked to them about the CCP’s persecution over the past 20 years, including forced organ harvesting.

Many people came to the information booth to learn about Falun Gong. They bought books and wanted to learn the exercises. A man said he’d been searching for a practice and finally found what he was looking for. He bought the Falun Gong books and thanked practitioners for bringing such a great practice to the fair.
Practitioners also participated in the annual Hyderabad National Industrial Exhibition, which started on New Year’s Day and ran until February 15. When a practitioner went to reserve a booth in late December 2008, they were all sold out. After the practitioner talked to an administrator about Falun Gong and the CCP’s persecution, the administrator said he would give Falun Gong practitioners a free booth that year and every year in the future.

The chairman of the exhibition stopped by the Falun Gong booth on the first day, listened to a practitioner’s introduction, and received a flyer. He told the practitioner the next day that he had read the flyer and praised practitioners for doing a great job.
Many visitors knew about the staged Tiananmen Square Massacre but were still appalled by the forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. They took informational flyers to read. Some wanted to learn the Falun Gong exercises.
