(Minghui.org) I usually go out to clarify the truth directly face-to-face and distribute truth-clarifying materials every day. When the coronavirus began spreading, my sense of urgency increased. I knew people's lives were at stake and I couldn't just sit at home.
On Chinese New Year's Eve and the first day of Chinese New Year, the situation didn't seem dire yet. I could still persuade around 20 people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations. The day after Chinese New Year, however, officials began sealing off the village roads. I anxiously walked the empty streets. When I finally met someone, I spoke to them very patiently. Most of the people I talked to agreed to quit the CCP. I tried to leave the few who did not quit with kind thoughts, hoping that they still had a chance to be saved.
Even though I wasn't afraid of becoming sick, I still wore a mask. This way people wouldn't think that I was weird. One day, I met a man who did not wear a mask and refused to listen to me. I finally said, “You'd better wear a mask. You should be careful about your safety.” Then his attitude changed completely and he looked at my flyers and took one.
Another man had just finished work and his forehead was covered in sweat. When I tried to clarify the truth to him, he refused to listen or look at the materials. He got on his motorbike and was about to leave. I told him to wipe the sweat off his brow or else he might catch a cold. He then relaxed. After we talked, I helped him quit the CCP and its affiliates and I wished him peace and health.
Today, I met two men who both looked mean. I hurried over to clarify the truth to them. One of them took out his phone and was about to call the police station. He said, “Do you know what our occupation is?!” I calmly replied that I only wanted the best for them. I said that many people were dying and I wanted to help them avert disaster and lead a peaceful life. The other man said, “Let me take a look.” So I handed him a CD with information and some truth-clarifying materials that are related to the current coronavirus outbreak. I told them that they both should take a good look at this information.
Because of their initially hostile looks, the practitioner I was with hadn't wanted to talk to them, but I said that we encountered them for a reason. Because of this epidemic, people have fewer and fewer chances to be saved so we cannot miss a single person. Besides, Master is watching over us so there's no need to be afraid.
The attachment of fear cannot be used as an excuse to avoid going out to clarify the truth. Every Falun Dafa practitioner knows that our mission is to save people. How can we not fulfill our vows just because of fear? We should go out openly and in a dignified manner and talk to people. We should not sit home worried about our own safety. Our only concern should be saving as many people as possible. When our motives and perspective change, our fear gradually weakens until it finally disappears.
When I meet a uniformed policeman, I clarify the truth to him. Since there aren't many people around now, I also clarify the truth to the building security guards. I also clarify the truth to the guards at the entrances to small districts and villages who wear the CCP insignia. I feel that everyone should be saved. With the urgency of this big epidemic, no matter who they are, everyone should be saved.
In the process of clarifying the truth I discovered that my thoughts and concerns about myself are gradually dwindling. Many of my attachments are also weakening. My heart of compassion is gradually surfacing and I feel that I'm no longer just using my mouth to clarify the truth; instead I'm speaking from my heart. I'm also able to think of issues from the other person's perspective. I know that all this is only possible with Master's help. “Cultivation depends on one's own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one's master.” (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun)
Clarifying the truth is a very good cultivation opportunity. As long as we have the heart to save people, Master will arrange people to come to us to listen to the truth. As long as we let go of selfish concerns for our safety, people will be saved! In the face of this epidemic, cherishing these opportunities and the extra time Master is giving us is actually cherishing ourselves.
Every single day of Fa rectification will not come again once it has passed! In this lifetime, I am really honored to be a Dafa practitioner! Thank you Master for your benevolent efforts and for going through so much hardship to save us! I will keep Master's teachings in mind and cultivate myself well and save more sentient beings!
