Elderly Man Unscathed from Four Accidents

(Minghui.org) Mr. Liu Fuping (pseudonym), 84 years old, quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations after hearing the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution from a Dafa practitioner.

He knows that Falun Dafa is good and hangs a Dafa calendar in his home. He also carries an amulet given to him by a practitioner. Every time he gets truth clarification materials, he reads them carefully and passes them on to his friends and relatives.

Mr. Liu was involved in four accidents and came out unscathed each time because he believes that Dafa is good and has chosen a bright future for himself.

He was shoveling snow outside his apartment building in the winter of 2008. He slipped on the ice and fell hard on the ground, but he was not hurt. He was 72 years old at the time.

In 2015, Mr. Liu was walking down the street when a car hit him. People gathered around, and everyone thought he had died. Mr. Liu slowly sat up. The driver wanted to take him to the hospital. Mr. Liu declined the offer and said that he would be okay. The driver left and Liu was fine.

Mr. Liu fell down a long flight of stairs on December 24, 2018. He only scraped a bit of skin off the back of his left hand and had no other injuries. He was 82 years old then.

In July 2020, he was walking down the street when a taxi ran over his left foot. He shouted in pain, and the taxi driver panicked and backed over his foot again. Mr. Liu was in agony, but his foot was not swollen, and no bones were broken. The driver wanted to take him to the hospital, but he said that he would be fine and just needed a rest. So the driver put him in the back seat of his taxi. After a while, Mr. Liu felt much better and walked home. He never thought of asking the driver for compensation.

Mr. Liu is grateful to Master Li Hongzhi (Falun Dafa's founder) for protecting him and he firmly believes that Falun Dafa is good. He then decided he wanted to learn Dafa and got videos of Master Li's Fa lectures from a practitioner. He is now learning the exercises and diligently studying the teachings.

A Calm and Peaceful Mind

A car ran into my shopping cart near a market, breaking one of the wheels. I picked up the broken wheel and threw it in the garbage can nearby.

I gestured to the driver, and two people got out of the car. They insisted on paying me compensation. I told them: “I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. You don't need to pay me for anything.”

A woman came up to me and said, “You're too kind.”

“Dafa has taught me this,” I replied. “If I didn't practice Falun Dafa, I would not have treated these people that way. Don’t believe the lies that you see on TV about Dafa.” She agreed with me.

I realized that I was calm and smiling throughout the entire incident. If everybody could tolerate others and put themselves in their shoes, society would be more harmonious.

People are Treating Practitioners with Kindness

I was returning home from a market where I had been telling people the truth about Falun Dafa and stopped to buy a watermelon from a street vendor. I gave him a pamphlet and told him to remember the nine auspicious words, “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” 

While I was strapping the melon to the backseat of my bike, a woman came up and reminded me that the melon would not be safe on the back seat. She said, “It will fall off and you won’t be able to eat it.”

I looked up and saw the woman smiling at me. I realized that she was right and put the melon in the basket on the front of the bike.

She added, “You should put another bag over the grocery bags just to be safe.” I told her that it wasn't necessary, but she went into the grocery store and asked for a plastic bag. I thought, “This lady is so kind. I met a good person today.”

She told me that she was heading home, so I gave her a copy of The Ultimate Goal of Communism, which she accepted.

I asked, “Have you heard that quitting the CCP can bring you a bright future?”

“Yes, I've already quit the CCP!”
